Igbo Tone Practice: Akwa Drill

The first thing I would do when starting to learn Igbo is to learn the tones. Ignore anyone who says tones aren't important. Creating a bad habit with tone will be 10 times harder to fix than creating a good habit right from the start.
This video helps you learn the basics of tones and what the differences are. I recommend you watch it over and over again. Do the exercises with lots of listening, repeating, guessing what the tone is and double-checking yourself.
If you find you're struggling with tone, I recommend also checking with a native speaker.
JUST STARTING TO LEARN HOW TO SPEAK IGBO LANGUAGE?
I have very helpful videos for you here on my channel. They have not been uploaded in a particular order. However I will recommend you start with:
1. The compilation of words and phrases first kzread.info?list.... Two videos in all.
2. Then go to the 3 videos on introducing yourself in Igbo www.youtube.com/watch?v=500_e....
3. Then you can follow that up with the video on Igbo Personal Pronouns www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ldy0h....
4. And finally do the Greetings www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxOmI... and Question words videos www.youtube.com/watch?v=99m4b....
5. Then you can look at the other great videos we have. BUT MY GOLDEN ADVISE WILL BE TO FOLLOW YOUR INTEREST. Look at all the titles and find what you're most curious about at the moment. Makes it super easier to learn. Also leave me a comment to know what you may want to learn at the moment.

I know a lot of Igbo phrases but my challenge is fluency. Is there any advice on what would help me achieve efficiency in speaking as I do with the English language?

The only way to learn to speak is to actually speak. You will need a native speaker to speak with. In the absence of one, you could speak to the mirror. But a native speaker is your sure bet
