This is so beautiful, I did an ancestry test cause I wanted to know my roots. Ever since finding out I've been doing research surrounding igbo I hope one day I'll be able to return to the home of my ancestors

Are you Basque as well? I'm Basque Mexican American. My grandfather knew we came from Africa and traveled up to Basque country. Upon reading more into the language euskera I read that the closest dialect is Igbo . When I pray I dance and it's similar. The music is so beautiful,the people,the dance , everything. 💗🌸

Katie Kat yes spraying money is a cultural gesture we do, it signifies our affection to the celebrant. We do this at any event weddings, birthday parties, cultural days, baby showers, even at funerals

We practice during the night and all the instruments are acoustic. full moon is beautiful And clear . All the young men may find their future wife that night. But they can not touch the girl. When the boys get home they will tell their DAD and mum what he saw . Egwu onwa. Means dance moon . Or moon dance.
