Highlife music is NOT A GHANIAN INVENTION is from the Americas and Caribbean and other West African countries mixtures. It is not Ghanaian invention.. go do in-depth research. Americas, Caribbean, Liberia and Sierra Leone should be honoured as well they are the founding fathers for what is known today as Ghana highlife.. Even the word highlife was frequently used in England and the Caribbean the Caribbean used to say, for people living in England that ‘you are living high life in London’. The Caribbean, Jamaicans for that matter in England used to also say’ we are living high life in London’. That is where the word came from. Go do proper research. Regarding highlife music that Ghana clam is theirs, the new sound is a mixture of music from returning slaves from Americas and the Caribbean to Liberia and Sierra Leone mix and other West African music. Go do proper research and you will find out this is true. Caribbean and African Americans returnees to Liberia and Sierra Leone brought with them music which they infused with other West African music. that could be found along West Africa coastline is the foundation of what is called highlife. The word highlife itself as mentioned above was already in everyday use around the world Ibo people should call their highlife Ibo highlife as Ibo highlife is different from Ghanaian highlife. Ibo highlife touches the soul it’s very spiritual and has patios. The way African American sing with such passion. Take it from a non-African
