Ifugao Native Dance - UPOU

Ifugao dance encompasses various native forms, including “Dinuyya”. It is either performed as a ritual or a festival dance depending on the occasion. It is performed in the different places in Kiangan, Lagawe, Hingyon, Banawe, and Hungduan although they have different versions.
There are three (3) or five (5) gong beaters and one lead gong beater. There could be more performers in the dancing area but for the sake of a good consistent performance, a maximum of eight (8) pairs is needed.
