A few days ago KZread recommended me a lot of your older videos, so going back to watching this level of quality shows me how much dedication you have put into it! I think I'd prefer to go with the TC5, because a compact tripod would suit me really well for the travel videos I've been making lately!

Best review I've seen on tripods. THANK YOU for taking BOTH (non-/extended) height measurements, on-screen, in-person!!! (Have not seen anyone else do this, wish more would)

The built in levelling ball head is such a genius addition. And that definitely seems to be the easiest and quickest design I've ever seen for inverting the centre column, which is something I've never done with past tripods, because it's just too much hassle. For my needs, I think I like the TC7 the best, for its pure simplicity. Set-up time with that beast would be a dream!

IFootage definitely has some amazing products. A friend of mine (who also reviews their products) mentioned the people there are a group of engineers and seeing their product designs, you can definitely tell. That leg locking design is great, and makes sense. Super impressive stuff. Great review, man

All three looked pretty amazing. I'm already planning to buy the iFootage cobra because it looks like the best monopod out there and I love how solid the reviews say it is. I was leaning towards upgrading to the manfroto befree after that for a travel tripod but now I think the TC5 might have it beat. Thanks for the review!!

Love that you made a video about these tripods because I've been researching them for the past month ever since you released your monopod review about them. The TC7 Fastbowl looks the most useful for my situation because I currently have the Manfrotto befree tripod and I feel so amateur when going to a gig with this lightweight tripod when the other shooters have their big and heavy legs. I was shooting b-cam for an interview video with my friend and I felt like I was making him look bad by having my setup next to his rig. I've also shot some sports videos and have had the tripod move and kicked out of place for being so light. Anyways, thanks for the awesome video and look forward to many more!

Reviews often focus on one model and it is clear someone has bought that and therefore, could well be a little biased! The ultimate review that we the viewers need, is to be able to see a range of models side-by-side, with measurements and the pros and cons described clearly and without bias. This is that review. All fitted neatly into 10 mins. They will sell more from this demo than any advert they will ever make. Thanks for posting.

Great overview! I like the TC6 the best - it seems the most versatile. I film stop-motion animation as well as live action footage and I think that the height of the tripod and its "underslung" mode would be really useful for times when I need to get the camera directly over my work. I love that we're now seeing tripods with both center columns and bowl-style level adjustments - best of both worlds.

I like the Fastbowl. I shoot a lot of Milky Way astrophotography, both panos and tracked, and love the ease of leveling the Fastbowl provides. Plus, even though I’m 6’3” I never use the center column on any of my tripods - I have to have that stability. Great video. Thanks!

Well done iFootage! (And you to Gerald:)! Beautifully built, I love the levelling system which makes setup so much faster, and the leg adjustments are spectacular, both vertically and horizontally. Personally, if I had to choose one, I would likely choose the TC6 since its cheaper and I'm always trying to stay within an affordable budget. But that TC5 is a great unit to toss in a suitcase. Both are outstanding! Well done iFootage, and it's nice to see some true innovation and a well thought out approach to a tripod. 👍

Thanks for this video Gerald! You're going to save me a lot of bucks. I feel the TC6 is overall best suited due to the 3 section fold (instead of 4 on the TC5) and the versatility of using the centre column (as compared to the fastbowl) that just makes things fast in adjustments. Thanks for this man!

Very informative and practical review. Thanks for that. In a time where travelling is easier than ever, but airlines are not making our lives easier when bringing our gear, I see myself trying to reduce the size and weight of my equipment. At the same time, I don't want to risk not bringing that piece of gear that I might need, especially when it comes to tripods. For that reason, the TC5 is my favorite because I can have a sturdy and versatile tripod with minimum weight with me.

Gerald snaps his fingers and creates the most thorough reviews/overviews in the camera space. This company doesn't get the recognition it deserves. To me, that center column wing nut contraption is very innovative. These should get just as much press as the new Peak Design tripods. I myself would love the TC5! Man, the faces at the end got a giggle. As always, really stellar factual review Gerald! I personally sit on your line, I like the more versatile TC6. The speed of the TC7 might be neat, but I'm far from the level of filmographer to need or use it. The TC5's travel compacted size is great, but I have more than a few things I regular shoot which are taller - so that versatility and height is just the overall winner - have to say I'd want to rock a TC6. Keep up the awesome work!

I'm going to have to say the TC6. What you take along with the extra length is a such a much greater payload. I've noticed that as I've rigged up some of my cameras, after you take into account the cage, monitor, mic and whatever else, it's always best to err on the side of safety. Great review and showcase of the tripod family Gerald! All the tripods look great (and the price is good too compared to other well known brands) but for me I would go with the simplicity and sturdiness of the Gazelle Fastbowl. Yes its larger, so more difficult to carry, but looks like it would handle a slider really well and I would use it for that purpose mostly. Love how easy it is to swap the bowl on that one as well. Thx for the video! :)

When I saw your monopod video I tried to order the carbon fiber one ut was sold out everywhere. I ended up ordering it directly from iFootage it came directly from China fairly quickly in about 3 days. I love my C180 monopod Thank you for the great recommendation !! As far as the tripod I would get the TC7 for the simplicity and quick setup.

First, as always awesome video! Easy to understand, quick and useful. ABOUT the tripod, if I'd have to pick one up, Definitely the TC6 ! I already have a travel tripod and I need something a bit bigger and stronger, and the possibility to put the center column upside down is so cool for product photography and food photography. No need to bring multiple light-stand and pols at the client's place, just this tripod, a nice window with natural light and BIM an over head shot! Finger crossed !

The TC5 seems amazing to me, I travel a lot so and appreciate the portability without missing the main features. The undersling feature seems amazing especially because I could attach it to the cheesplate of the smallrig cage I'm getting because of your recommendation haha Your in depth reviews and analysis on features are rare on this space, big fan!

The thing I love about your review is that you also include the superior metric units, also would love to see some testing with heavy rigs and fluid head just to see how the leveling base holds up, some benro tripods have similar center column mechanism and fail over a year of use

Thanks for the review! I was looking for an affordable and functional tripod after hearing your great review of the C180 from iFootage, I've then chosen the great gear lineup of the company. The Uprise TC6 is the perfect balance for my use case of a tripod, that is hybrid photo/video shooting. Waiting for the BMPCC4K to be Undoned as well! plus some rigging videos here and there. Thanks!!

Awesome products. As a real estate photographer, the TC6 looks about perfect. That leveling feature on the end of an adjustable center column, as you pointed out, would keep me from having to adjust the individual leg height so often, which = time saved. Yes please!

As always, excellent video! After being away from photography and video for 1.5 years (sold all my gear with the intent of buying new within a couple of months... did not work out as planned), I'm finally back in the game, fully loaded up on Undone info! Only thing missing is a tripod. The TC5 would fit me perfectly as I try to keep things lightweight!

I really like that you have commented on Lunascope's GMV Studio Light review. Justin's personality is awesome I am is 203rd sub, hopefully he sticks with it. That was the 1st video I had watch of his and subscribed half way through. He is probably appreciative of having you commenting. I have purchased SL-60 setup and is coming tomorrow. I have been taking my time of getting everything setup to really start up an official KZread channel. I like your approach and have been referring to your videos a lot. I have three iFootage products, the 1st thing I purchase was the iFootage M1 III Mini-Crane which I will be doing a usage video on after I finish my studio setup video (channel launch video). I use the iFootage Cobra 2 Strike A150S for most everything, even a remodeling project for our home to hold a laser level (Crazy ah) I also have a video in the works for that iFootage product. But the other item is the iFootage Shark Mini Complete with all available options. Yes of course a video in the works for this iFootage item as well. My idea is going to be doing product usage videos (1 year usage). But I have been eying up the Wildbull T7 for use with the slider. But for a regular usage tripod I would prefer the iFootage TC6 because of versatility and add it to my iFootage collection and usage videos. I do forensic videos with my career for manufacturing equipment and I have a use case that would enable me to position my GH5 at 180fps into the equipment safely. With the way the legs will support the camera from below it will create a better angle for a informative top down shot. Being selected would be "awwsome…." and lower my investment cost for the use. I am an iFootage patron for sure, great products all around. You were totally correct about tripods being an investment and paying a small amount more for a tripod and other products can be worth it, if achieved selectively. Thanks for you time creating videos I always get something out of them every time. Accept for using SD cards or the Ninja V for the GH5, you did a great job on explaining compression. I have the Ninja V in my B&H cart, from your link, waiting for me to finalize my decision or to just wake up without the "G.A.S." pains. LOL. Please keep providing good videos you have a great delivery, your editing technique definitely contributes to that.

The TC5 looks amazing! I’ve been in the market for a good travel tripod that’s sturdy. I like the swivel design and the locking levers but I specifically love the idea the center column can be removed for those super low shots.👌

I dont want to looks like ass climber but you are really best. I spend few hours to check informations about the tripods. In one review was something in another something else, but I must dig height of TC6 without center colums by measuring picture from website. Till now I didnt know if the head is removable on TC6. Like always after 10 minutes I know EVERYTHING about all the tripods :) I realy like TC6 but I want something for Shark Mini so I think TC7 will be better option. Also it will be quicker to attach head to slider. But I like TC6 more for its versatility :D

Definitely the TC 7. I'm trying to film my own passion project of a wildlife doc and having the ability to deploy a tripod quickly is paramount. That and being very lightweight is very important while hiking out to get shots. I would definitely use the heck out of that!
