    Only tip I argue is vacuuming directly on the electronic board. Would be a safer practice to compress air it, then vacuum above it

    @6:19 what did you do before before this? Because you already moved the belt, but somehow the belt is back to its first position. Can you also elaborate more on the adjusting thread part for the left bolt you are turning? Why are we turning pass 15 rotations now?

    Good afternoon! Thank you for this awesome and informative video. We have some house guests that will be filling up our 136 yr old house in June. When they leave, we will order a 1750 or a 2450. I am sure the answer floats around “it depends”, but how often do you do a lubrication on these machines (2 people using it 2 or 3 times per week)?

  • @gitfit875

    @gitfit875 thank you very much for the prompt reply. When we get one, I will buy one of your adjustment wrenches. A follow on question....if we have 2 people using the machine on the family plan for ifit, is there a maintenance page that will show the cumulative usage so as to determine that 90 hr block?

    Hello, I have the 2950 - about a year old - just a question on the belt. I have it to 2nd knuckle tension/lift as you show in the video. It seems that the belt does not lay flush or flat to the belt, therefore when using it, there is a flapping noise when I walk. It doesn't slip or go off center. It looks like your belt is the same. It's almost like it's lifted off the deck a hair. Is that that unusual? A tech told me that's how Nordictrack belts are - not entirely flush w the deck. But I'm wondering if I can get rid of the flapping / bouncing noise. Thanks!

    The floating over the deck is normal for sure. It sounds like possible foot drag if you're hearing it every step you take. Because the tread is floating, it will follow your foot if you don't lift it a touch higher than normal. That noise would sound similar to a zipper sound.

    What size is the hex needed for the belt tensioners? I’ve tried several sizes and it seems to be an inbetween - 35 or something similar? Any ideas?

    Do you not need/have to lubricate the motor belt? Mine seems to stop rotating during workouts from time to time

  • @gitfit875

    @gitfit875

    Definition do not lubricate it. If you're getting slippage from it, the tightness of the walking belt affects the tightness of the motor belt. Right at the edge where it no longer slips is the tightness you're looking for

    I have a C1750 which has been running fine for a couple years. I like to do sprints on this unit but recently whenever I turn the speed up high to sprint, the whole computer reboots and the machine shuts off. I turn it off and back on and it comes back up fine and I can jog at a normal pace with no issues. It just seems to happen when I do sprinting. Any idea what could cause this?

  • @gitfit875

    @gitfit875

    Sounds like a loose connection. Sprinting will vibrate the machine, and if the console blacks out totally, then reboots, I would check the connectors on the controller under the hood first

    If you back out on the belt bolts all the way how many turns would you need to tighten. 15? I replaced my belt completely. When you say 15 turns are you saying 15 full turns or half turns

  • @gitfit875

    @gitfit875

    15 complete turns, assuming it was properly adjusted to start with. If the bolts have been completely taken out, you're going to need to adjust from scratch. I have videos on that as well.

    It's possible the deck needs flipped as well if groves have been worn into it from no lubrication. If there's too much friction, the motor will stop.
