I have one of these and it's excellent value for money

Does it give a high or low sound?

As a standalone bluetooth unit and for that one way streaming option it would do well, however it lacks a USB port and some basic software that as a feature would have made sense. How are updates going to be done - no usb & no wifi/ ethernet port and there is info of future updates. Pls correct me if I am wrong or missing something here.

iFi stated that if firmware updates become available, then it'll get transferred to the Zen Blue via Bluetooth. Not sure if this means that they might make a dedicated Android/iOS app to them transfer it, or what.

@@samma3afans I hope they come out with a similar product at the same price point with the addition of wifi and USB, they will surely have a winner there. There are a lot of competitive products out there with 2 way comms on bluetooth and at much lower price points offering a few codecs that could work for many. I was planning in investing in ifi Zen Blue but am holding off due to the aforementioned lack of features. I have heard great reviews of it serving as a strong bluetooth streaming option with no dropouts etc. Then again we live in an age where some will do anything for a free gift or monetary gains.

I tried it for 30 min and put it back in the box....this was horriblen as a btu unit and disappointing from IFI that wanted to go budget and dirty their name with a bad sound product. Maybe not on an average system but on mine and compare to my everyday Dac it sounded not good
