Great review! One question though, does the DAC have a sound signature or is it just transparent? IFI has often had some units that were smooth or more natural sounding across their lineup. Some other reviews have said this unit is a bit more clinical though.

So I've tried quite a few of their converters and in my opinion this one kind of fits what others say about it as being a bit clinical but for the most part I used it with vintage equipment and I honestly didn't really notice that whole lot. I did notice it when using it as a preamp into my emotiva power amp but again it wasn't overly so. Anyway thanks for watching and I would recommend it but like I said in the video not for it's Bluetooth, or at least not for lossless Bluetooth

How is the headphone out? It seems like it should be very good, very powerful - apparently 5.5w into 32 ohms from the balanced output.

Yeah actually it was really good, to be honest with you I've been kind of out of it lately and there's a lot of stuff in the video I didn't cover so sorry. But I thought about making a separate video talking about it and kind of covering the stuff that I didn't. But yeah I liked everything about the product from the headphone amplifier to the actual converter aspect and it kind of has sort of a neutral sound with just a tinge of warmth, and that extends from the deck all the way to the headphone amp. There's a lot of clarity on tap and you really kind of feel like you're getting the whole picture if you know what I mean. The only aspect of it that that I wanted to really get across was the idea that if you're going to buy it buy it because it's a great dac and it's a great headphone amplifier and just a solid all around good product, but don't buy it because of the Bluetooth

@evueThanks and I agree, with this unit the Bluetooth review is an important part. Yea, I wouldn't mind a "revisted" review if you ever choose to do so.
