    do not blame yourself for being bad. Do not blame your teammates for being bad either. Blame is unproductive, and multiplayer games aren't even about being good, they're about improving. If you actively try to improve every game, you will improve. A simple change in your mindset should have the potential to make significant changes in your skill, and I hope you'll be able to get better and have fun at the game.

    The Splatoon 3 matchmaking has been terrible for a long time, the worst thing is that they had said that they were supposed to improve it in this game. The truth is that the only way to rank up most of the time is carry your team but even with that you can lose, you'd be surprised how many people don't take the game seriously, even in X Rank I had teams with poor performance and weapon picks. There was a time where I also thought I had gotten worse at the game, no matter what game mode I played or what weapon I chose, I always lost. But then I started to analyze my games and I really wasn't playing badly, even in those games where the opposing team crushes you against a wall, I was able to defend myself.

    Lol yeah, it’s funny because for me when my team is winning someone’s dc and match ends, I thought the same that I was a bad player but then I saw that I been the only one attacking on my team, while the other just stay in back line and not go for the checkpoints, sadly that’s around 80% of the teams I get on anarchy

    This is such a fickle game. Sometimes I can tell when I make misplays, but other times I feel helpless to sway the game, as though I’m just fated to lose for one reason of another that’s beyond my control. That said, I know when I get into a defeatist mindset I’m going to make worse game play choices and only spiral, so I go play turfwars instead.

    Hey Kai! Been a while since we last spoke (the Ted server lmao) and in that time I’ve actually gotten to S+! Before, I was in the same position and around -400 points in debt, but I promise you that it’s very possible to climb out of it! You just gotta keep pushing, and if you find yourself losing a lot in series, try playing a bit of open! Might not seem like much, but the stakes are much lower and can help you rethink how you play if you find yourself repeating the same mistakes over and over! You got this!

    There are questionable times in Rainmaker/Tower control where me, a backliner Heavy Splatling user has to be forced to act in mid/frontliner because sometimes the situation calls for it. Whenever that happens, I just question everything. Granted, I'm more into Salmon Run than Anarchy (majority of my playtime hours are spent on Salmon Run, trying to get max hazard exclusively freelance. Not possible with friends, they aren't as passionate for the mode) but I'm currently in S (also exclusively freelance unless friend wants to queue up) trying to get at least S+ for the badge and it's just an uphill battle. Keep up the fight bro.

    I had a -1000 S rank score and wanted to reset my rank. Instead I decided to switch my main weapon to Octobrush with max. fast respawn. Sometimes I even lost by an average of 20 kills. But if you have decent to good teammates, you can focus more on the objective rather than the kills. Which made it a lot easier. At one point in Manta Maria we won a Rainmaker game under 50 seconds. Right now I'm at S rank, about +200 points. I only play Anarchy mode, which I know I'm good at. Moral of the story: Use Octobrush with maxed out fast respawn.

    I don’t know what it is but whenever I attempt the rank up to S+ it’s like I’m facing tournament demons. I get one win at most, then the other 2 wins are just pure fantasy. I’ve been keeping track, and after 43 rank up attempts this season. Yes *43* I finally lucked out and unlocked X Battle Now I have -800 in S+ Anarchy. Conventional deranking not existing in this game is such a weird detriment to the rank experience

    Nice to see that this struggle is real for everyone (though I don't mess with Clam Blitz). I've kinda given up on hitting S+ this season, but I'm still going out it. It's been a cycle of getting in and out of negatives.

  • @thomasanderson3003
    @thomasanderson3003Ай бұрын

    Honestly, I've been there before. The wall from A to S is kinda steep. I ended up just climbing my way out, and that worked well for me. I'm not sure that I really see much point in demoting, I am much much better than b ranked players - I know this because I often play with my brother. For that matter I'm much much better than A rank players. However I'm much worse than many s rank players, and I've never been x rank before. I just don't see much reason to reset the rank, as I've now earned the right to play against the better players, and as much as I get schooled regularly, it helps me learn and progress as I test my metal against theirs. Saying all that, as one player to another, IF you wanted to work on one thing that is clearly your weakest spot. you should work on your mental game. It's imperative that you enter each game with no baggage from the last, and not to be let down when your team preforms poorly. For a number of those early games you made some serious mistakes, and the things you said were always blaming the teammate, the lag, the matchmaking. I'm not saying those things don't contribute. They do. But mostly, these things are uncontrollable, and focusing on them takes away from the lessons you could learn by focusing on yourself... that and you'll just have more fun if the takeaway is what you did better than last game rather than what went wrong. Good luck on the last leg of your journey to X!

    I've been in the negatives for a while and recently broke positive and even ranked up to S+. All I had to do was change my main and I was on a winning streak. Advice: Watch replays and try to mimic the playstyle of someone who you got splatted by a lot. It helped. I went from a Carbon Deco main who only played Rainmaker to a Luna Neo main who only plays Clam.

    I'm seeing thst you sort of separate yourself from your team in order to take fights. they have less support and get splatted, which leaves nobody defending the objective. other times instead of pushing up with your time you use your special and just wait. there are many instances where you couldn't really have won or had a bad team comp or players but this is just stuff I noticed
