My Grandfather served in Armed forces and died while my father was 16 and then my father joined the force as a Jawan and for the last 28years of his service he didn’t came when I was born , he didn’t came when my brother was born . We never saw my father on any of my birthday or my brothers. Whenever I got exceptional record at school he was not there because he was serving this country and now when he is about to take retirement next month I am preparing to join armed forces while my brother is preparing for NDA . To sum it up I don’t know what a father is . We still don’t talk much because the bond never really took place although I respect him the most but I will never be able to tell him. Just the Fuji things only we know still people wanna collude with Pakistani for a cricket match. I can understand Major Bhai but regardless of this I assure you , every generation of my family will serve this country until death. Jai Hind .

This happened about 30 yrs ago when my husband had been transferred to Siliguri. I had gone to the bank to meet the manager(whom I did not know) for some work. As I entered I noticed a jawan standing in the corner. He may have been sent by his senior for his work. People were going in n out from the manager's room. Then my name was called, n the soilder was still standing there even though I had come much after the jawan. I was so angry. Here was a jawan who lived n died for us Indians and he was treated as a nobody. He should have been the first to get his work done. I told the manager about this, but he seemed indifferent Even today we have the same attitude unless he is high up in his posting. Wake up India, and respect them.

I strongly agree with you Brother. I have stopped watching the cricket match between IND and Pak from a very young age. Also, my son who is 20 years old now... Even he do not watch. I know I alone cannot make a difference, but I can stop my hard earned money being used against my soldier brothers. So neither I watch the match in stadium nor on tv.
