You should look into the Wilton tilt n turn cake turntable. It helps me a lot when I decorate cakes, specially rosettes or writing.

Lol I'd suck at doing that too! Is it possible to just pipe the letters onto the paper freeze and then stick them on the cake like stickers ??

I've done that before, but only for the top of the cake. Once the icing is frozen, it's a little challenging to get it to stick to the side of the cake. You can put piping gel on the back of the letters, but you have to work fast so the icing doesn't get soft and distorted in the process!

Hmmmm, I'm not sure this method would work on fresh cream because it has to be solid!

I prefer to just use a little water. You can also use milk if preferred!

Nope it's just regular American Buttercream thinned out a little so it easily flows through the tip!

I briefly show how at 1:07 in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJODupN-lcSnYs4.html I use Microsoft Word to print. If you don't have Microsoft Word, I'm not sure what to recommend because that's all I've ever used.😊
How long do you chill your cakes before being able to do this?

My buttercream doesn't get hard like that. How do i fix this problem. I use margarine because it's more affordable where I live. Could thst be the reason?

That definitely is the reason! When you have margarine and butter in the refrigerator, the butter gets really hard when it's cold. The margarine always stays soft. When I put my buttercream cakes in the refrigerator, the butter in the icing solidifies and sets the icing really hard!
I don't know how to make right consistency buttercream for writing.

You want to thin out the icing by adding a tiny bit of liquid at a time and mixing it in. You'll want it to be thin enough to easily pass through a small round tip. If you have to squeeze really hard to get the icing to pass through the tip, it's too thick and you need more liquid.
Wherrrreee was this 20 mins ago!!??🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ I have the neatest handwriting on paper but I suck at writing on Cakes!😊 even though the customer said he loves it. Pretty sure I could’ve done better. Had I seen this videooooo😊

I only frost my cakes with American Buttercream, which gets really hard in the refrigerator. This technique won't work on a cake frosted with something that isn't hard.

At least 24 hours. I frost the cake one day and do this technique the following day.
