➤➤Transcript (Partial):
Time has already got a piece of you, and eventually it's got a taste for you and eventually it's going to eat you.
The problem with being a child is that all you are is potential, and it's really low resolution. You could be anything, but you're not anything. Right, you have to sacrifice the pluripotentiality of childhood for the actuality of a frame.
You choose your damn sacrifice because the sacrifice is inevitable. But at least you get to choose it. It happens to you whether you do it or not. You can either choose your damn limitation or you can let it take you unaware when you're 30, or even worse, when you're 40. And then that is not a happy day. I see people like this, and I think it's more and more common in our culture because people can put off maturity without suffering an immediate penalty. But all that happens is the penalty accrues. And then when it finally hits, it just wallops you because-when you're 25, you can be an idiot. It's no problem. Even when you're out in a job search, it's like, well, you don't have any experience and you're kind of clueless. It's yeah, yeah. You're young. You know, it's no problem. That's what young people are like, but they're full of potential. Okay, well, now you're the same person at 30. It's like, people aren't so thrilled about you at that point. It's like, what the hell have you been doing for the last ten years? Well, I'm just as clueless as I was when I was 22. Yeah, but you're not 22. You're an old infant. Right? And that's an ugly thing, an old infant.
You're a fool when you start something new. And so, if you're not willing to be a fool, then you'll never start anything new. And if you never start anything new, then you won't develop. And so, the willingness to be a fool is the precursor to transformation.
You cannot stand still, because the world moves away from you if you stand still.
What you most want to find will be found where you least want to look. But if you want to put yourself together, then that's exactly where you have to go. Do it haphazardly, a tiny bit at a time and badly, because you can do that. And then you can fix it. You can iterate and fix it. That bad first draft, that's the most valuable thing. And so that's what you need. You need a bad first draft of yourself.
And so you say in your life, well, something grips you and fills you with interest. And you think, well, should I do that? And the answer is, if not that, then something! What if it's a mistake? It's a mistake! Rest assured. What do you know? People are a lot more unhappy when they look back on their lives about the things they didn't do than they are about the mistakes they made while they were doing things. There's redemptive mistakes. And a redemptive mistake would be a mistake that you make when you go out and try to do something. You know, you actually-you think, okay, I'm going to try to do this, and you're not good at it...

You'll watch an entire Netflix show even when the first episodes are slow and boring just because someone told you "it gets better." *But what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead?*

Saving typically results in you earning a lower return but with virtually no risk. In contrast, investing allows you the opportunity to earn a higher return, but you take on the risk of loss in order to do so. Not reaching a million before retirement feels like an unfulfilled retirement.

Whichever firm you select, make sure you get your insurance from a reputable financial adviser, such as *Jenny Pamogas Canaya,* who has dedicated her career to financial planning. Because they will assist you in escalating, navigating better, and completing the task in a safer manner|

I've come to realize that the key to amassing wealth lies in making sound investments. I purchased my first home at the age of 21 for $87,000 and sold it for $197,000. My second home, acquired for $170,000, was later sold for $320,000, and my third property, purchased at $300,000, fetched $589,000, with buyers covering all closing costs and expenses..

I'm 30 and I'm exactly right where Jordan points out. You cannot imagine how hard things are when you are 30 and when you are far from the point that you are expected to be at. I'm gonna leave my current situation and my goals here to check my progress and let others see how real Jordan's speeches are. I have, as of 15 Feb, '22: - little money - unrelated job - no reputable college education - no gym/no sports record/no fit body - no countable girlfriend experience - no social life - no dressing style - huge hair loss - less than 5 friends I will comment here every month with the updates. Let's see what I can do and what I cannot. Hope this inspires the young people out there.

This is not to brag but to honestly share the pain of life with you. I'm 28 and I have: - decent amount of money saved up - decently paying job - master's degree - slim, slightly athletic, but not the greatest body (acne) - 3 years and counting wife and a 1 year old kid - church community to share my life with - beers with friends - simple dress code - enough hair - some good friends and still feel miserable most of the time as if I don't deserve any of that. Most of the things mentioned just fell into my lap. Just fight every day. We are in this together.

Huge hair loss should not be mentioned, it's not in your control. Just because you mention it as part of your bad situation makes it seem like an excuse. I'm 26 and have huge hair loss. I also have plenty of female attention because I have improved all other parts of myself massively, thanks to among others the work of Dr. Peterson. Good luck! One life.

I respect your efforts and authenticity here, John. I am 39 and am nowhere near where I’d hoped I’d be. My situation is complicated by children and divorce.. so that’s one upside for you if you haven’t crossed that bridge yet, there’s still time to not screw it up. My boyfriend and I just went to a Jordan Peterson lecture in Norfolk, Va last night. It was a large venue. Completely packed. Diverse crowd there, many around your and my age. A decently high number of attractive people. More than usual pregnant couples. I highly recommend you meet more friends and/or someone special at a Jordan Peterson lecture. Could be life changing… just saying. ;)

Lord knows,I feel for you all, since at 30 I wanted to be married, but that wasn't until after i had reviewed life choices that started around age 24. Reflection of ages 16-24 was I had Smoke,Drank, many boyfriends, lived in Sin x3! Because of a Great Gram who taught me Bible and Aunt and Uncle and Family took me to church every Sunday I am Eternally greatful! Literally I found out How in the Bible to get Saved ,Born Again as Joel Osteen mentions at the End of every Broadcast. It was at that time, after moving out 1 mth prior from my Alcoholic boyfriend house, had stopped drinking decided I Did NOT want a marriage Nor a husband like my Alcoholic Father! Lord worked on 8-14-94 went back to church ,a little country Baptist church at end of the message, showed me in the Bible HOW to Know 100% to GO to Heaven!✝️ Best Day of my Life! The Lord started teaching me after reading Bible tried to daily, church weekly and found a Christian singles group! Which was A LIFESAVER! I met hundreds of Christian singles, weekly for dinner, gathering and many activities (NOTE: Today there are similar groups on Meetup.com) Lord worked by 30,thought I wouldn't meet anyone, as my ex-boyfriend who was dumped by his girlfriend and had two kids came back around. Thank God for a Christian Mentors, ladies who reminded me I would find Mr. Right. They must have and I had prayed because in January 2000 Christian friends talked me into going to Word of Life singles Retreat where a busload from Maryland came in which I met my husband! We were married within 8 months September 2000 when I was still 30! Lord knows married and moved to Maryland in 2000! it wasn't easy to marry and move out of state but to try to keep the Lord center of our lives,BUT ended up I had detoured, where the Lord had to get my attention Losing my physical eyesight was my spiritual vision missing! in October 2019. Thank God BOTH restored in 20/20!❤3John2 Back on the right Road to see many things and to be LED by God. Amen! @@jen4126 your the last kind of person jordan is speaking to.. you destroyed your kids lives by picking a poor father figure, THEN instead of doing your duty you DOUBLED DOWN and took the easy route and got divorced so you can use the government to force your husbands hand like a puppet finacially and morally. the man who years ago would have doed to save your life. just like that. hes nothing to you, disposable. welp, now your 40 Nd already ruined your family life so cheers, got what u worled towards. failure in your 40s. the government is the true "partner" of all spinster women who lost their youth. big daddy government makes sure there's always more female rehab centers, treatment and detox facilities, housing, foood, Healthcare... everything. a poor woman is a well off man because men are made invisible by humans like you. your mans kids, taken away, now he knows some other guy is raising them? try Nd wear those shoes for 10seconds without jumping out a window. (but omg he was abusive and hit me...sure...heard that a million times, never seen a scar cut or bruise nor proved at all in court a million times yet the woman always takes the kids regardless of what a terrible person she may be.... so your benefiting from alimony AND or child support aka your ex husbands money. you've put your children at a MASSIVE disadvantage... 80% of ppl in jail come from single mother homes. most sexual criminals come from single mother homes... grown ass adults who get divorced are the most SELFISH humans alive , atleast the women are since they are the one's who initiate over 70% of ALL divorce.... its almost like, a woman on her own isnt as good or better then having EVEN a poor father around. i feel bad for your kids, meeting their new daddy (for now till u swap again) at what 6-12 years old? they will never feel normal or know what a strong reliabile relationship looks like OR what a strong father figure is because you undoubtedly trash talk him infront of your kids as most single mothers do, further damaging the chikds virw of men, making them preadolecent sexist man hating femenists...until they visit a friend's house who has two straight parents and a traditional and thus SUCCESSFUL marriage. one where the parents chose to put the kids first once they tie the knot instead of themselves.. greedy selfish woman.. your ancestors would disown a "woman" like you. nor putting kids first... some humans sure do suck.... and dont give me the whole he was bad, it was toxic, i wasnt into him, he cheated blah blah... get over it your an adukt and your kids come first always... but not for you i guess. your happiness is far more important i guess. youll never get another trully restful sleep... (unless wasted on benzos and wine as most divorces tens to do) ..till your long gone after subjecting your kids to this upbringing. your subconscious will make sure of that.

Bet you say that to Everybody! 🙂 Don't over blame yourself? Hmm 🤔but wait! There are times when we are to be blamed wholely and completely. But,as you attest, we hv to move forward. I so agree that we can't let others define what success is. 'All the keys to a happy life *are* in your hands'? A contented life perhaps. Happiness as most define is fleeting. Frankly a lot of this stuff for me sounds somewhat ethereal and contrived. I guide my life by the Book of all books. It tells me the truths I need to hear. It transcends the self and causes me to look up! ❤️

You can't imagine how the last 30 seconds hit me, I am in the midst of trying something new and I am failing terribly, I don't see myself succeeding. BUT I will learn from these errors and I will be smarter and more experienced, end if it fails I at least aimed at a star thats in the sky, even if it wasn't the right one. I have listened to that last part several times now, and I keep finding new ways in which I see it reflect. A wise man peterson is..

All the words my dad should have told me when i was a teen.....maybe i wouldnt have wasted decades trying to find out what and where i id like to drive my life. I never had that view on life, all was trials and errors to learn what i dont want to be or do in life. And when despite your good will and efforts it doesnt work, your world falls apart again....add to that being from another culture than where i live and not being much of a social animal......the days are not looking less dark. Ill still try but im getting wary, quite alone since my close ones are far away and i can't make similar connections here. Im all for a life if adventures so i can enjoy all those memories before i die. But searching blindly forward led me to not have stability or a family. JPsaid it so well, past 40 without a family and that love and motivationm life feels very hollow once you satiate some of the goals you pursued. Becoming or having means nothing if there no purpose other than your own satisfaction, thats the lesosn i've learned. Im quite lost as even the job i love is getting unstable and nothing else seems to have held me where i am now....with time to think about it, i realized ive spend 10 years in a foreign country chasing a stability that isnt there anyway either, or can fall appart during world wide crisis. I cant find a psychologist here who can relate to my situation ir has a broad enough mind view to tell me what JP is talking about and take in account a whole background thar will never be his/ her, since i'm an immigrant. Lets stick together and help eachbother more when we can as there many who share such feelings despite thinking we are alone in it.

Parental failure isn't new my friend.....every fat era of peace and wealth made the same mistake, I felt closer to my grandparents visons of what it was to be a decent human. Like if having gone through ww2 in their 20s shaped them differently. Kicking away the superficial aspects of life to recognize the deeper values that helps you stay strong in time of hardship. Being gen X it made more sense to me, than the Boomer vision of " we need to have always more because our parents were traumatized by loosing all and they transmited those fears to us" (I.e after a war or economic depression) In a world of peace that led to absurd levels of consumerism and now our sorry state.

That's what I say . The cops kept treating my Odie like a game. I'm a grown man thinking about starting a family and they prevented me from getting and starting my career my own business in the past. I'm not even happy anymore when i finish this damn course im not even happy . Or thrilled to work on having my own clients. Many opportunities slipped by because of the cops and my mom and fat mike. And neighbors
