The Spider-Man remark shows how ethical and a good person he was . He sent many messages out there especially regarding not being judged due to skin color , religion and belief . Such a great man and he will always be remembered. RIP

Those were great answers and everything I would expect from what I know of Mr. Lee. Marvel just wasn't the same without The Man there to really lead them. Thank You for doing this Larry, it's the best tribute for a writer: His own words. :)

It was the second time that an attack had occurred on US soil after Pearl Harbor, but unlike Pearl Harbor the attack had intentionally gone after our cultural landmarks, places that civilians hung out every day. This wasn't happening far away to someone else, this was something that could affect any of us at any moment. Plus they used our planes and our people to bomb these places. This was an unprecedented event, and a bit of a wake-up call for America, as it showed that we are not invincible. Can't help that the whole thing was broadcast on television, meaning no one was spared the true horror of what occurred through second-hand accounts. I'm not particularly surprised 9/11 was so impactful to Stan Lee. It was terrible.
