I was skeptical about Summertime Rendering when I first heard of it. But once Chibi highly recommended it I HAD to watch it. And I was not dissapointed. Chibi always delivers. Nice Halo shirt btw.

It’s the love child of rezero and higurashi that later adopts shounen battle elements. Fantastic manga and the anime has been adapting it perfectly.

Good thing they have the author involved to streamline and perfect the story for the anime. It will be a complete adaptation. Definitely a very binge worthy series and somehow there’s a plot twist every single episode

Manga reader here, from what I noticed so far, the anime skipped some details and delayed some info from revealed earlier because it gonna give MUCH more impact later And there are some info that they omit because the studio assumes that anime watchers already gets it with the hint given in the earlier episodes too so they didn't even try to mention it again

The animation for the faces the sound track gets me so hyped for Rezero when ever the at drops

Kinda funny seeing Ushio getting along with her own shadow, but then again, I guess it’s just like her to not sweat the details.

I may be crazy but I'm sure I saw a scene with an old doctor or scientist and a shadow in wheelchair. There may be case of other friendly shadows.

We need more characters using their hair as weapons in fiction! Also that thumbnail is scaring the crap out of me!

I can’t wait to see chibi’s character progression, i give it 3 years until he’s turned into hippie hermit that lives in the woods and used solar power to record his videos for our enjoyment :)

As someone who read the manga and finished it, it's really good. Not Re Zero level or Steins Gate level but still a good thriller, sci-fi, mystery story. Reason to watch the anime would be because it's going to be a complete adaptation and the author would fix some of the plot points or mistakes he made in the manga. So this adaptation would probably be much better than the manga.

Just a quick question since I don’t know where else to ask, why was the shadow able to copy Ushio despite Ushio already having a shadow? Unless they meant complete copy which is why it was still “feral,” I see that as a weird plot hole.

@@Punched_Kuze It didnt say that one people can only have one shadow. You only have immunity after killing your shadow. Normally they wont copy a people multiple times because its pointless.

@@shawn7667 Ah you have to kill it first before obtaining immunity. I guess I misunderstood the rule there.

i'm just super happy the 24 episodes are gonna cover the entirety of the 139 chapters of the manga (we're already at chapter 40 btw and i'd say there are no pacing problems or cut content)

Dude more people need to give this show a chance. It's an absolute sleeper hit and without a doubt one of my favourite shows of the season

I'm trying my damn hardest to let it get at least half way through the season to catch up, but your weekly genuine excitement about it always makes me want to give in 😂 I'll still be watching your videos as i go through it tho

I personally don't think that Re zero has anything to do with this show besides "Return by Death." Compared to Re zero, the episodes escalated chaotic very quickly. Re zero focuses more or psychology with a whole different tone of "dark plot." Also, the latest episode basically shows that there is a direct competitor to the Return by Death factor. In re zero terms, it was Ros but that was indirect. As always, I don't hate this Anime. It's excellent and I'm hyped.

summertime render is definitely a summertime gem

Good thing I picked up this anime because MAN has it been really wild and really unpredictable. I hope future episodes don't cut any content because so far, the adaptation has been going great. It's my 1st best anime of this season. Plus the anime has some pretty memeable faces lol.

Reminds me of higurashi at times. Some episodes they blast Cicadas for atmosphere

I started watching it the first time you recommended it. From episode one i was HOOKED! This anime is amazing and I'm glad I am watching it.

SOOOOO HAPPY it’s going for two anime seasons - and yes it is a perfect mix of Higurashi and Re:Zero. I am planning on getting some wallscrolls, I saw some beautiful ones on eBay. USHIOOOOOOOOOOO 🥰😍 By the way, Shadow Shiori remind you a lot of that one AOT jump scare 😂

Yup, you are absolutely correct. Re:ZERO and Higurashi are my two favorite anime and this is sliding on up there too haha.

It's a really good anime don't get me wrong, but I don't like that "if you like ReZero you'll like this" recommendation I've heard a couple of times already. Like yeah the power is pretty much the same and it's gory, but that's it, the two don't have that much else in common. I always hated people bringing ReZero down to being just about the power, when in reality it's just a narrative tool used to explore the characters and world more, Summertime Rendering, while also being a great series, uses it for different purposes, it's not the character deverlopment that drives the story, but the action deverlopment and the mc gathering more knowledge... that also is a part of ReZero, but definitely not the focus and expecting either to be like the other in that way will leave you disappointed

A fantastic day to be outside Enjoy that chibi as well that new series summer time rendering and watch out for those shadows who knows when they will attack they could be outside piloting their attack.

A correction Chibi: You can have more than one shadow. As we saw on Ushio's flashback, the original at a time had 2 copies of herself (though one was degraded). It's the KILLING of the shadow that prevents any more copies from being made. This is because, as has been shown, shadows have a sort of hivemind going on, so they can share the data. But if the data is eliminated, they can't recover it.

This episode blew me away with all the emotions I liked the information the old man dropped, saying that if you off your shadow you gain immunity to being copied again and he is proof,

I didn't start watching this series no matter how much people praised because I don't want to suffer from the weekly wait. And now months later I can finally binge watch it and man what a ride!

My curiosity got the better of me and i read the manga. Honestly it was amazing, the anime is killing it right now

They will adapt the whole manga so i'd say just wait. Also the author of the manga is kinda working on anime adaptation and he said they will fix some plotholes manga had towards to end with the anime so it'll probably end up being better than the manga.

@@hewhewhewhew172 if you dont like 1st season its good 1st season was very rought beggining not really strong but 2nd is better and novel even better I recomment witch cult translations and read from arc 1 or arc 4 if you want season 2 content but end of arc 3 is needed for it because anime skipped plot point of season 2

Chibi i know you are clickbaiting but if you think Summertime and Re:Zero is similar then you didn't understand Re:Zero at all which is should not be possible when you did read the novels. I will explain in simplest way possible. Return by Death is just a tool in Re:Zero to explore characters, world, lore etc. Return by Death is main part of Summertime Rendering.

I just want re zero

It's a great anime (thanks for the recommendation btw) and I'm loving the mystery and time loop, but one thing still bothers me. Back in ep.1, the drunk customer asks Shinpei if he found the person he was looking for, an event that happens in a different loop...a loop after that one, so naturally Shinpei has no memories of it yet. At first I thought it was just the anime's time loop mechanic, but after watching a few more episodes and seeing that it functions like Subaru's RbD, that scene shouldn't have happened...unless there is, or was, a second Shinpei (good Shadow?) at the island. Idk, time travel/loop anime can get a bit confusing, so I might've missed something.

It's the Shinpei's shadow who asked the drunken man about Hizuru (the glasses lady). Remember, on the 1st and 2nd time loop, Shinpei always have a camera flash behind him during Ushio's funeral. That's when he got copy and a shadow of him being born. On the 3rd time loop, because he ask the kid if she knew anything about the shadow plague, there's no camera flash behind him anymore. Not until he coming in that kid house and get copy for the 3rd time. I hope it make clear ^^
