Omg I just finished Disorientation earlier this month and I did appreciate having read Yellowface last year

I loved Disorientation but not so much Yellowface, it’s just impossible to connect to unlikeable characters

Disorientation is a much more nuanced and intelligent book than Yellowface

I liked Disorientation even better than Yellowface!

I agree with this connection!

I had such mixed feelings about yellow face initially but I think it was because of how much I disliked June. Once I reflected on why she was so infuriating but also deeply lonely and tragic I changed my mind on the book. I would love to read from an Asian character’s perspective, thanks for the rec!!😊
