From San Antonio Texas. I have been fascinated by Arnels voice since the first time I heard it in 2009. He had become part of Journey, my very favorite band ever. It does not matter if he is singing with Journey or covering other performers or his own work, he is amazing.

@jenpie 1, thank you for the recent upload. The power and and adaptation of Arnel's voice still amazes me. Plus, he's as beautiful as Elvis ever was (the ultimate of any singer). I hope he's still as well-mannered, exuding maximum class, as he did before Journey's great discovery of him.

but he wouldn't be discovered by journey if he were singing original tagalog songs (of which he wrote and sang too).

It's true but maybe his fellow Filipinos (like me) are just biased. They're overwhemed when they hear a non-English speaking singer who could sing songs by famous US bands and versatile enough to imitate or copy some nuances of the original singers but still he is not the original and we know that. Filipinos take to music like a duck to water. Let's accept that we Filipinos are rockers at heart.

he does a great job.....i see alot of comments that say he is the best that ever lived, but lets keep it in perspective....he is good, but he is copying the original american artists that did these songs....i really like his ability and his versatility....he is a great addition to journey.......just keep it in perspective....

As music band singer in a bar in the Philippines customers requested him to sing any songs that's why he tried his best to copy those international singer so to make custumer satisfied. Most of the people when you sing , they wanted same sound or style even if not perfect.
