I just remember when I was in 1st grade, my teacher would open Mr. Bean’s cartoon episodes, and my family before my little sibling was born, we would watch his episodes (not the cartoon ones), I would always beg my family to watch Mr. Bean. He was my whole childhood 💖

As a kid who was born in June 1, 2009 Mr. Bean was the happiest part of my childhood (technically I am still in my childhood but just go with it). I used to watch Mr. Bean with my sister, mom, dad and aunt and we would all laugh while watching it even if we had seen that episode a million times. Now I moved to Texas and have introduced Me. Bean to my friends and cousins and they all love him. He is truly a legend.

Coincidentally, just this morning, while watching a BBC Hugh Lorie retrospective, for the first time, I got to see Rowan in "Black Adder," and now, here, I get a fuller picture of him. Thank you for this. He's the kind of guy who, as a kid, I would have sought out as a friend, recognising in him another victim of being atypical. Now, I want to see more. While Hugh was only funny if the script was good, and was often boring, Rowan seemed able to elevate even the most meagre openings. Hugh often needed a challenge. Rowan created challenges to which others could rise.

I spent years watching nothing but him, my friends made fun of me for watching him... Now they carry depression, while I carry a smile
