For real, I don’t care what people think of me on an airplane, I will never see them again, if I’m not bothering you don’t complain. And the same thing with the window seats and shoes, I’ll take off my shoes if I want too, and no.. I won’t put my feet near your seat, and I’ll open my window if I want too, I’m literally right next to it!

I think it's okay to take your shoes of if your seating with all family or friends in the row and you keep your feet away from other people- and if you don't have smelly feet.

I only take off my shoes if I have 2 empty seats, a blanket, a comfortable stuffed animal/pillow, and a window closed. If I don't have those things, I ain't sleeping or taking my shoes off in a plane. Btw I always wear socks, I ain't touching my feet to some nasty seats

It annoys me when a flight attendant helps them

as someone with anxiety issue when travelling, doesn't matter if its car, bus or plane I sit by the window so I can see out of it and it keeps me a lot calmer.. sitting on the Isle of the bus for example on packed bus were i can't see where I'm going gives me too much anxiety and i start panicking. the last time I went on a plane it was the same.. I was on window seat going so I was fine i could could out and see what was happening and was calm. I was in the middle (which is bad enough for my anxiety witting between people I don't know) and not being able to see outside gave me panic attacks. so nope sorry if I'm flying I'm booking a window seat and keeping it open to stop my attacks.

Just imagine if the person who is sitting next to the window is flying on an aircraft for the first time and wants to enjoy his moment then why will he close the window for a person who can just wear an eye mask and solve his problem. This is just unfair.

If you’re sitting in a window seat you can do what you want with the window. Unless it’s a night flight people are choosing to sleep then and if they didn’t want to deal with sunlight they should get a window seat so they can choose to keep it closed. The point of the window seats are that you can look out the window😂

I'd rather blame airlines for forcing people into cramped conditions to exceed a maximum profit.

I have a question, if I choose a window seat is it wrong to look out of the window and essentially block the other two seats from seeing anything? I was looking out when the plane was landing once and the guy next to me told me to move my head so he could see out the window!!!!

Except coming in to land, the window blinds must be up out of the way of the glass. It's a regulation though I have no idea what the justification/reason is.

Whenever I fly, I always have to let my sibling get the window seat and they never close it 💀

IMHO, "Don't be a dick" covers most of our interactions with other people. Or should. Sadly, too few people ever seem to grasp this. Especially when they're travelling. In my life, I've endured some fellow-travellers so disgusting I had to wonder how they behaved when no strangers were around...

One time I was on an airplane and I was in the middle and I didn’t get an armrest 😭

I’m not closing the window shade unless it’s really so extremely bright. I want to see the outside, and take pictures. Especially during takeoff, and landing. The most annoying people in my opinion are actually those who keep the window shade closed the whole time and prevent me from seeing anything.
