If You Can't Win At Karting Don't Be This Guy! - TeamSport Brighton Sore Loser

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

See my other karting videos. To some it looks like I’m the one making contact but in reality the other driver is braking constantly so I have nowhere to go. The full video including the 2 previous sessions is on my channel, I never make avoidable contact as evidenced by every video I have on here. I race clean even if it is just for fun.
I visited TeamSport Brighton for the first time and I was pretty quick for once beating the locals in the first 2 sessions but it looks like by the 3rd session someone got a bit fed up. I still came second though 😂
I’ve never had anyone behave like this in all the time I’ve been karting, I have no idea what goes through someone’s head to make them do this. No words were exchanged between sessions and all my passes were clean.
Full unedited footage on my channel.

If in games I can eat that, even tho most of the time such morons get destroyed by their own fault, in real life racing such actions can lead to car crash and, you know, people can die. @@DavidWilliams-ef4fh Well first of all hes driving very dangerously, Brake checking and driving opponents into walls. both illegal actions in the entirety of racing almost. Next to that the POV guy was much faster. so if this was just a heat to show whos fastest, the guy in front should be blue flagged. which means you have to let the faster guy through (because its about time and not who finishes ahead) If this was a race he should still be blue flagged the second time he came on track, because the POV guy is lapping him. which means that he drove one or multiple laps more and thus is ahead, so it would be illegal to hold him up. Basically everything that the guy in front did was wrong. He took terrible racing lines. Drove dirty, looked more behind him than infront. He slipped in every corner, And on top of that was a sore loser when his little ego found out someones faster than him (which is especially stupid because you learn from people who are faster than you)

If you are RACING then you RACE. These events though are not racing, they are leisure events. People PAY MONEY to drive cars at the track. Ive been to them several time, the unwritten rune is generally if the car is about the same speed and skill as you, then you race hard. If someone a lot quicker comes behind you, dont race them, let them pass. But either way, dont ram them off the road.

These idiots are just tunnel visioned drivers that can't see the track as a whole. I had exactly the same behaviour last time I was karting. I was patiently waiting for an opening to overtake this guy and noticed on one of the hairpins he kept taking it too fast and clipping the wall. So the next lap I overtook him on the inside and went into the racing line and he decided not to brake for the next corner and try to spin me out. He ended up stuck behind my sideways kart anyway and I promptly left him in the dust once we had come to a stop. I had 2 laps of blissful speed with nobody in front until I caught up with last place who wasn't leaving space to overtake. This meant that another 2 laps later, the douchebag caught up with me and just rammed my kart every corner. Until the end of the race when he ran away from me. Despicable behaviour for a supposed grown up in his 40s (a guess), and I can't believe he wasn't stopped from racing either!

Unfortunately I have come across a few people like that at the local indoor track. It is a tight difficult to pass track and I figured out a way to get them out of the way. The track has a hairpin that is wide open going into so ease up on them without hitting them and when they slow to make the turn push them straight and cut back in and make the pass. Usually works pretty good. I stress to everyone that it is for fun and you won't be F1 after the day but some people just don't get it. Since I have raced open wheel formula cars all my life you need to be respectful in real car racing or contact will put you both out. But these are like high speed bumper cars to to many.

By like 2:30 ,I'm like if he doesn't jam him in some tires ,then run right up his ass when he stops in the pits at full speed, hopefully you'll launch right over the cart and knock some sense in his head that's sticking up.

When facing a blocker like this, read his actions. He looks over his shoulder right, dummy right then switch left.

I’m slightly confused about this. I don’t know a lot about kart racing so can someone explain what he’s doing wrong? Like can you not block off someone behind you by staying in front of them while driving? I would think you’d want to do that unless you can’t so I’m a little confused.

You shouldn't be taking it so seriously and be most concerned about winning that you are spending more time blocking someone, than driving fast. It's just a silly activity for fun, it doesn't matter who wins. Unless you are in an organized event, I can understand why this would be frowned upon. Basically it's silly to feel the need to win at the expense of other's enjoyment.

These races are about producing the best lap time, not being first over the line(it would require a qualifying race first to determine the start order). I enjoy it a lot more if I can push my lap times. If somebody doesn't want to go hard that's OK, but they ruin my fun when they are destructive. I'm not ruining their fun when they let me pass.

We did that to a jackass like this at the indoor track in Atlanta. Every turn he kept gettin on my friends and i and hitting us to make us spin out or at least get loose on the turn. Last lap my buddy didnt let off the gas and timed it perfectly and t-boned the guy.

The trouble is that he's slowpoking along, overly concerned by blocking, that he never catches up to anyone to make a pass. The opportunity to pass annoying blockers often presents when they want to make a pass. Alternatively, when someone else catches up to pass the pair of you, it'll make an opportunity for them to bump and you get to pass.
