Hey, fair enough. Whatever works for you. 🙂 I am still working on the video detailing how to get them working better than this using an abandonwsre version, but ran into a couple challenges that are taking me some time to solve. Still coming though!

i bought it for the atari pinball tables. and it works great. i don't really know about the other tables, and tried them once. they're ok, so i don't really mind. it's totally worth it for me.

This looks disappointing. I was expecting it to be a remastered game. I remember holding the box when it came out and being in disbelieve 2d pinball games were still being made while others were releasing 3d (rendered) pinball games like Timeshock!. I never played it although I was a fan of Duke Nukem 3D.

I think the ability to go into scroll mode is dependent on the screen resolution. For me, at 1920x1080, the original four tables (Darkside, Mutation, Barbarian, Firestorm) all run well and default to scrolling mode. You can change scroll modes by pressing F2, an undocumented keybind carried over from the original game. The three new tables (Devil's, Centipede and Missile) are all forced into full view, and if you press F2 even on the Atari tables, it says "Scrolling not available". Also, in the full view, the art on the right side is much larger. So I think your 1440p is just too high for this game. The workaround on the Steam review (forcing the game into 800x600) suggests that it's something about the screen resolution that locks it into full mode. It's not clear to me why Devil's behaves differently - it seems to require a lower resolution. I suspect this is just a coding issue with the original engine, not a deliberate decision for this re-release.

You'd think that if the game did go into scrolling mode at lower resolutions, maybe they'd give it graphics options so that you could choose that if you wanted. Too much work I guess. This pack truly baffles me.

The fact that this somehow manages to look "lazier/cheaper" than Dream Pinball 3D (which was bloody awful in its own!) is amazing

online leaderboard was the only reason i would've played this crappy re release. i don't even know if 7 hours of laying is long, or if 100 bn points is many

This wouldn't even be worth it if Atari bought Gearbox from Embracer and was able to add the Duke Nukem table. That's how much of a joke I think this is.

Wildfire also did KISS Pinball, Austin Powers Pinball and others. The video I'm going to put out talking about how to get Balls of Steel working should apply to them too.
