Hi Ruby, easiest way would be to change your account to a creator/business account and look at your audience demographics (e.g. country, age, etc - and does it fall within your typical audience - if not high chance of bots).

I’ve done all the work to promote. And I’ve paid for promotions. Doesn’t work

There is a purpose for the websites who sell likes and views..It’s not meant to help you if you are trying to defraud advertisers..If you are trying to impress your friends theses sites are perfect for that but don’t be foolish enough to use these type of services on your Adsense accounts or any accounts which are monetized.

good question. it definitely wouldn't be a bad idea to get rid of the fake followers (by blocking and unblocking them, for instance) but at this point you should just keep working on making content your real followers love

Yes it messes up your algorithm and engagement. Ig algorithm programming has to do with your real followers that engage and have interests, wheb u have fake ones it glitches out the algorithm

Social media is a long game for marketing! If you're in a big hurry to goose your numbers, I'd spend the money on boosting my top-performing posts/content to lookalike audience. I know an account who gained 30k over night and 2k-4k likes per post (they went from 2k followers to 30k over night) and instagram doesnt see any issues with this and I get shadow banned when I report the scummy activity

How do I get rid of bots if I have them??? I am an honest man, just trying to share his work online. I have NEVER though of buying fake followers. Yesterday my page had 39 followers and today it shot to 868. Are they bots??? No spikes in interaction seemed to happen so, I'm worried. I dont want my accounts ban for something I didnt buy!

Follow and interact with people in your niche, if you have a small follow count then follow 10 small accounts a day. I almost at 100 followers by interacting and following people in my niche some may follow you back, but most won’t you would have to DM them. Wait for one or two days to send them a DM, when you send them a direct message introduce yourself if they respond back tell them why you like their content, and ask them if they like your content like or follow, if they don’t it is okay, reaching 1000 followers is going to be slow, but you will get there eventually.

hmmmmm! depends on how much time you want to spend getting rid of those followers. (you have to do it by hand, so try unfollowing ten every time you check Insta - which is what I have to do ever since doing this experiment and ruining my account with bots!)

I actually don't want 'more' followers. I don't relate a high number of follows to a strong artist or brand recognition, no matter the product or idea. Mutual sharing and exchange and networking or connecting in a sincere way is what I always hope to achieve.
