If You Boil Bay Leaves And Drink The Liquid, THIS Happens To Your Body
Bay leaves are an incredible source of nutrition and provide many different health benefits for our body. You can simply boil five to eight bay in one to two cups of water leaves for 5 minutes, and then let step for another 5 to 10 minutes. Strain into a cup and let cool to your desired temperature before consuming. This is a very easy way to obtain these health benefits of bay leaves, and you even have the option of leaving the bay leaves in if preferred. Now, lets discuss some of the amazing health benefits of boiling bay leaves and consuming the liquid.
1. First, bay leaves and the liquid from them offer many different types of vitamins and minerals. They are packed with important nutrition for our bodies. This mixture of boiled bay leaves offers good levels of vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, iron, magnesium and calcium among many others. It is also a great source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. Boiled bay leaves also contain some fibre.
2. Boiling bay leaves and consuming the mixture can also help to improve digestion and more importantly, reduce the symptoms of unwanted digestive disorders. The liquid from boiled bay leaves can have a positive effect on the gastrointestinal tract overall and help the body to get rid of toxins and other wastes. As well, the organic compounds in this mixture can significantly reduce stomach pain, irritable bowel syndrome and contains enzymes that can promote digestion and nutrient uptake.
3. Drinking the mixture from boiled bay leaves can also help to protect the heart and promote our overall heart health many different ways. This is because bay leaves contain specific heart healthy organic compounds known as ruin and caffeic acid. These compounds can help to reduce the risk of heart disease. As well, caffeic acid has been shown to lower and regulate “bad” LDL cholesterol in the body while ruin can help to strengthen our capillaries. The good levels of potassium and magnesium in boiled bay leaves are also helpful in this regard.
4. Boiled bay leaves can also have tremendous and significant positive effects for those individuals suffering from diabetes or those at risk of developing the disease. Studies have shown that drinking this mixture can help to regulate blood sugar levels as well as improve insulin receptor function. Bay leave may also be able to improve insulin sensitivity.
5. Lastly, boiling bay leaves and consuming the liquid can also help to reduce both stress and anxiety when consumed regularly. This is because the liquid from boiled bay leaves contains a unique compound known as linalool that can help to lower the levels of stress hormones found in our body. This can promote relaxation and reduce anxiety and anxiety related symptoms.

My mother used to boil some dried bay leaves with lemon zest. Then we would drink the liquid with little sugar whenever we had stomach ache as kids back in sicily. It tastes also very nice. It’s really a pity that such old and natural remedies get forgotten.

I bought a Bay tree in a supermarket. When I got to the checkout I said to the teller, "did you know that if you have a cough and you suck a Bay leaf, the cough disappears!". He said "yes I did" then he added "I am from Mauritius. Everyone on Mauritius knows about Bay leaves, no one on Mauritius has coughs." Tried and tested in many situations by me.

@@scorporsupremacy7948 I've been drinking bay leaf tea from age eleven to this day . I'm one month away from sixty three, and I'm still alive and kicking. I like to put a cinnamon stick in my tea and sweeten with a little honey. I'm from the Caribbean, my mother made tea with just about every thing she could put her hands on.

Don't damage the base of the tree or it will sprout new shoots like crazy. I collect the new (pinkish) leaves & dry then - powder them down to mix in with the meal. Same can be done with still supple leaves. Keep the sticks after the leaves have been stripped off - use as shiskebab sticks, or for Kofftas. The leaves, if you have pets can be put into the pets bed to reduce fleas - in medieval times it was a popular strewing herb for insect control. A leaf or two in your wallet, is said to help with cash flow.

Your narrator ACTS as if we were visiting at Tiffany's ! As the beautifully expressive singer put it years a go , "You Don't Impress-a Me Much!"
