They view him as if he's some modern day prophet or angelic figure....or a "biblical character".....which is odd considering he has very unbiblical beliefs and ideas. Yeah, I can't stand 50% of what many of the motivational men have to say. Half of what they say may be correct. But the other half of the information or the delivery is polluting the message. With JP it is always clear, thought out and concise with the most carefully chosen words. His absolute integrity to his message shows how valuable the message is. He shows a strength of character to aspire to. And that is the greatest motivator. He doesn't spread a message of self absorption but reflection and improvement.

He's very far from being "the Socrates of our time". Socrates was mainly concerned with virtue, and how little we all know what it is. The oldest dialogues written by Plato show that - they end in confusion, there's no clear answer to the questions posed. It's just "Well, you don't know what virtue, or knowledge, or piety is - neither do I". JPB, on the other hand, clearly has all the answers. There doesn't seem to much room for doubt, there.
