Same. Changing from 4/4 to 3/4, 6/8, 12/8 ends up actually being really easy since it's essentially the same as diving the beat into triplets. That's also the reason why those time sigs are so usual in pop music compared to other non-4/4 time sigs. Sorry if that came out condescending, just wanted to share a bit of music theory as to why changing the time sig "worked surprisingly well" here :D!

I've always said the blue album is the anti-nirvana. Similar influences, but blue is very upbeat for the most part, compared to the bleakness of most of Nirvana's material. Pinkerton on the other hand is the post-Nirvana, going back to being sad and angry

Yeah this cover really does sound like "Susanne" and "Holiday" and I love it

I always swap the lyrics of smells like teen spirit for that of the world has turned and left me here. So always felt like there was a fun interchangeable quality between Weezer and Nirvana. Nice to see someone with actual music talent realise it. Awesome

It's actually 6/8 not 3/4. 3/4 is 3 groups of 2 8ths, 6/8 is 2 groups of 3 8ths (3 accents per measure vs 2). 12/8 might even be more accurate.

I’d love to hear something like this done with Primus. Either a classic song in their style (ex. Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Don’t Tread On Me, Bulls On Parade, etc) or My Name is Mud or Jerry Was a Race Car Driver in the style of somebody else (ex. Rob Zombie, The Offspring, The Cure, etc). You’re obviously very talented and have a grasp on the small touches that really define the sound of a group. I think you could do so really off-the-wall, incredible stuff with this format!
