Villagers out in the open: doesn't defend themselves, and are easily seen with their height. Villagers in protective caves with lightings: defends themselves, and are small so they can't take melon spores.

They just evolved differently. Also, I feel like if you live in caves, that being tall can add more difficulty. You can't fit it certain caves. The iron golem wouldn't be able to protect them, so they had to learn.

I get the joke but 1. There are tons of monsters in caves and without iron golems, they can't defend themselves so they have spears 2. Some parts of a cave is small so they became smaller to fit in them.

I like how much effort and detail is put into this. For example, them being pale because they haven't seen sunlight. And their spears, the grip sorta thing is made from the lush vines.

If these guys get added, the cave counterpart of pillagers should be goblins or trolls

but in the Snapshots we have Villagers in Caves When you look to the deepslate, when you have a wall of it, you can see a Villager, who is in stone, no joke 😉😄

Why not ask for addon and do 100 days with them

You should be able to tip the spears with potions and or ores You should also make new enchants for the spear You should put a tiny hut near the lush creatures

I feel like the enchantments could be just loyalty and a few sword enchantments instead of adding new enchantments for it.

The spear could have amazing depth to it. You could make it do essentially no normal hitting damage, but good projectile damage. You could give it enchants called javeleneer I, II, and III. That allows you to throw it farther. There could be a slot where you can tie a lead to it so it doesnt get to far away.

What I liked the most is that they actually have a defense mechanism. Now they dont Have to rely on iron golems

I would love these cave people in Minecraft. And maybe even make them a bit rare. Adds to the excitement of finding them.

Man, this mod feels so vanilla but different and unique as well. It's like as if this mod was made to be in Minecraft, the team has done a great job on it! You guys deserve more than just an applause👏👏👏

​@@ghifariasoka8272 ooh yeah a new mob would probably be more work but would be cool. maybe it can be a bigger and maybe slower (but beefier) axlotl that has like moss or somethin growing on it, and it'll follow you if you have glowberries or lush melons in your hands, which is also how you tame it. (golden lush melons being more effective)

This is very vanilla and very well thought out. Lovely!

That is such an awesome design. They look adorable and I feel like it could be great if Mojang add this xd

Suggestion: Give their fishing rod a custom texture, to make it look like it was made in the lush caves. Also for balancing maybe make befriending a bit harder, rather than as simple as giving a cat fish or a wolf bones. Also, they should have some sort of a reason to have spears, like giving them some sort of predator or prey to fight, to make them a bit more realistic.

They harvest tree roots to get wood. Then use the wood to create a fishing rod. This results in it resembling an old fishing rod made of oak. Thus, the shade of brown becomes tan, or oak wood color, apposed to the dark, spruce-like, appearance of a normal fishing rod. The texture can also have a few triangle shaped notches resulting in a worn out appearance. There would be 3 of these notches.

@@dumbbass8867 There are spiders and cave spiders. In caves, a dark place, similar to night, the spiders are hostile. There's also bats. They can hunt bats. For a new mob idea there can be giant bats. These bats would be their size or fill a whole single block. I'm not mentioning slimes because I don't think slimeballs are edible. For another new mob idea there can be cave hyenas that they can fight. There can also be large moles.

They definitely need little carved-out houses where the doors are topped with a half-slab that drops a vine down one block in front of it like a beaded curtain. Inside they could have more simplistic furnaces and cauldrons with melonjuice and nest-like beds. Also to make them less OP I'd say they should be afraid of open sky when it's daytime - in fact make them nocturnal in general, they don't look like they'd be out in the sun. Maybe some of them could have monster-leather armor and/or bone shields, both of which have mending by default? Their spears could definitely sometimes spawn with Bane of Arthropods, too.

i actually have a small idea for the glowberries: eat then and you'll get a glowing effect to where you can just eat the glowberries and walk around glowing, bright enough to where you don't need torches to light up a path

Hey System Zee, I have an idea for the Lush caves you could do (if you want too), what about insects that camouflage with blocks? Maybe beetles? Or water creatures in the water? (Besides the axolotl) suckerfish maybe? Or maybe a animal that walks or climbs around in the lush caves? Maybe a new spider or something?

Out of all your ideas, this is my absolute favorite! These little guys seem so cool!

Make them "The Guardians" - The Player befriends the leader guardian and gets his banner of protection - You then collect the raiders' banner - Go to a village and a small army of guardians to help you fight the raid In exchange for this feature drop their fishing and befriending with player

We need more of these kind of vanilla-like mods I could actually see this in the game

They're like puppies lol Imagine having them as companions in survival, it's like you have a real friend

The idea of spore melons and lush cave villagers is honestly really cool

Mojang needs to add this

It will be more awesome if lush creature also have variations, like warrior type who have a wooden type armour and an iron blades, not a strong one but boost their attack and movement speed. Also what I love from this creature is, it can be working as tribes system, where lush creature are more "wild" but not savages, they somehow coexisting with vanilla villagers, like trading goods or aid them in village security. It will be cool to have it inside minecraft. Also more variations of "tribes" are possible, you have already made the template. It can be a mountain tribes next time, who rides armoured goats, and have rivalries with pillagers. Man, this mods gives me inspirations!

I love everything villager-related.

coo idea: rather than being able to tame them, how about they are able to give you a lush creature seed (which can be used to grow your own tamed lush creatures)

This is awesome! I think the only way to make it better is if they stood in front of you, or beside you, that way their more effective. And maybe a different type of troop, like a swordsman and maybe even a chieftain that you can’t tame, but can interact with. And for the balancing, I think the fishing loot should be less often, like 3 times as long as a normal player.

I built a mansion based on this then realized they aren’t actually coming to the game (also I made each one I was planning to have it’s own house and not a shack a decent house Edit : now I am working on a grove-garden for axolotls and red decorating the house for axotlots
