I recently walked away from a mega church. The Holy Spirit just made me feel so uncomfortable with what was being taught. I was only there for like 2 weeks. It's so difficult to find a good biblical church. Please pray for me to find a good church

My son brought me to the one he goes to. The music was so loud you couldn't even hear the words. I've been to a lot of rock concerts, but this was unreal. When the preacher came out, it was all about show. A sad state for the church.

I'm all the way in South Africa, I know the Holy Spirit will lead me to where I belong as it was the Holy Spirit that got me out. I'm basically just venting to God's people because this happened now Sunday. But u know extra few prayers will definitely help the situation lol. But I'm gonna start church hopping till I find the place where I belong and where God wants and can use me.

Bethel seems like an occultic place. The "Lord of the Rings" part got me.

My original comment to Lina where I stated this truth was removed it appears. The fact is, all the little country churches are just as apostate as are all the other churches. Everyone in every church thinks, oh yes, there a many apostate churches out there, but not my church and not my pastor. The fact is however, their (your) church is also 100% apostate. There is no church that is not apostate. The few who Jesus came to save, the actual Christians, have nothing whatsoever to do with anything called the/a church. I don't know about everyone there, but people who have the Bible explained/ interpreted to them by others may get confused and mislead. When I first became saved it wasn't through a church or group, but I did want more so I went to a well known organization. They taught me so many things that were from "their bible" (such as no one has ever been crucified so Jesus must have been on a stake instead: the HS is like "the wind similar to humans using their bodies to get things done"; and Satan invented the Trinity. I believe none of these things that that group invented). I had relied on others and trusted them to tell me what it meant. They told me wrong. I asked questions but they told me not to ask or think but to intake only the info in their books. God made me aware and I left, but others didn't really know better and stayed.

I am aware of Bethal Church and their views there only about 35 miles north of me. They are kind of dullsional. They came up to me once and wanted to pray for me because I'm disabled. They were disappointed that I really didn't believe what they were trying to do and didn't feel any different when they finished praying. I have accepted that God has a use for me even in this capacity. I just don't know what it is?

Brother, I feel for you I’ve had several encounters with people like this who spiritualize the verse . Instead of allowing scripture to speak for itself , I was at a hospital and I overheard a ( pastor ) telling my wife’s relatives. The health and wealth doctrine and telling them that the patient was going to be healed. I interrupted the conversation and asked can you show me in the context of the Bible the verses that you are referring to ? It was a very awkward conversation with a lot of ; I believe , ohh but my heart and because of my experiences 🤯 . His VISION - according to him , was for everyone to gather at a set time and repeat a prayer over and over. I discussed the Bible and explained how a verse taken out of context- creates a pretext ! He got extremely embarrassed when the people he was talking to started asking him the same questions. 🤯. Long story short he proclaimed a healing at a certain time and shortly after his prophecy the patient died . God can heal , I’ve seen it with my own eyes but it’s in His time , and according to His Sovereign will . Not everyone in the Bible was healed…..

you need to understand that 99% who claim Christ have never been born again have never understood what repentance really is, 99% of people claim being born again is a feeling of being clean that fades away by the end of the service, these people who are apart of these mega churches have not put their faith in Christ! instead they put their faith in that man in the pulpit who is howling to them they don't need to fear God's wrath that as long as they pay tithes and pray a prayer not found in scriptures that they are justifide of their wickedness justified of their choice of lifestyles when in reality they are without excuse for the choices they make, consider Accountability and Consequences of everything you agree to we have a Tyrant in office who has another Tyrant helping him he has put policies in place that make it legal for a pedophile to follow a child into the bathroom/ a rec center gym locker and shower, he has made it legal for a rapist/stalker to follow their targets anywhere they go and anyone trying to stop them gets arrested for discrimination, how many times have you been followed and not noticed, these churches are those found in Mathew 7:21-24 they are the goats on the Lords left hand these churches and their congregations of wizards and witches are always drawing people in for their destruction, if that man standing in the pulpit doesn't have people fearing God's wrath he doesn't belong there, every 3 min Hebrew's 9:27 takes place and 90% of those who die this day will burn because they never followed Christ they never repented, they put their faith in man in this perverse world, only to find their names are not in the book life!

Is it Idolatry and demon worship when we utter the name of demons? Well according to Josh 23:7 and Exodus 23:13 it apparently is very displeasing to God and all unrighteousness is SIN, right? So the names on the calendar that you use, are there any demons among those names? Isn't Thurs-day named to honor the pagan god / demon thor? How about January to honor the pagan god janus? Are you sinning against God daily by speaking those names? How about having those names on a calendar on the walls of your home, or doors, or fridge, etc...? Don't you unwittingly invite those demons into your daily lives?

We have inherited Rome's "performers on a stage" practice. Believers in the Apostle's time met in synogogues and homes with those more mature in the faith mentoring those newer to the faith. No performances.

Those demons are rejoicing that they are leading so many people away from God. May Yah have mercy on them and may the Holy Spirit awaken them if it be Jesus's will. Amen!!❤❤❤

People fall for things that are not true because they don’t read and study the Bible for themselves and they just sit and listen to any preacher out there

The problem starts when a church gets hungry for signs and miracles. Jesus said “A wicked and adulterous nation seeketh after a sign”. I do believe (in fact, I know from personal experience) that God still does miracles. But, the focus should never be on it, and God should always be allowed to be sovereign in this matter.

Sign and wonders was for when people wouldn't believe in God. Now that you believe you should be trying to find your spiritual gift and others. It's for building the church up. If a church is hungry for it they probably healthier then a church that has none. Because a church should have a prophet right? How about a healer? Or a a evangelist.... Whatever it is it's for the church and I want all of that near me.

You are so right. I tell ppl to read their bibles so that they can recognize these false teachers. The Bible says that 2Timothy 4:3-4, “3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” This is what’s taking place in the American church. PPL READ YOUR BIBLES SO YOU CAN RECOGNIZE WHO THESE FALSE TEACHERS ARE SO YOU ARE NOT FOOLED!

John’s Revelation describes the Beast as being given a mouth to utter blasphemies and we’re seeing it in real time. Don’t soak in graves where the dead lie; soak in the Bible, reading daily what God has said in sure and clear words. Rely on God for provision that you lack nothing spiritually so you can withstand this onslaught against you because you believe. The persecution will grow so put on the full armor of God now.

The age diminishes culturally and spiritually into that period called the Seven-Year Tribulation or Jacob's Trouble (in the Old Testament).

I gree up in Redding, and went to a smaller Baptist church that also was a k-12 school that I attended and Bethel was all the rage for my peers to attend youth group at. So one evening they were having some special something happening so me and a friend decided to go.... we ended up leaving early. In fact it got SO weird that we had to crawl on our hands and knees through these crazy people just to get away.... We were all of 13 or 14 yesrs old and Im so thankful God had my discernment amped up that night!

We're located about 120 miles from Bethel and they have sent unofficial "emissaries" to churches in our area, including the one I attend. In my case, the young man took time to get to know me and come to services, bible study, etc. After about 6 months he told me about Bethel and how amazing they are. He knew Bill Johnson and had dinner at his house. He told me about going through the BSSM and other stories. Fortunately I was aware of the problems at Bethel and I discussed my concerns with him. I also mentioned my concerns to some of the elders in our church. They must have spoken with him because his whole demeaner changed with me, becoming much more distant and unfriendly. He left shortly thereafter, perhaps to find better recruiting grounds. Unfortunately, they have made deep inroads into some of the other local churches.

What lunacy, how shameful.

It is terrible to know that those people at that church when death comes for them that Jesus Christ will say “I never knew you.” The path to destruction is wide and the gate leading to Jesus is very narrow.

I went to a bible college that is a lot like Bethel Church. God showed me i was being decived. They all follow the Prosperity gospel. False gospel.. please pray for people being decived by this false gospel.

Even churches that once were correct doctrinally are comprised,a church I used to attend recently promoted a man who’s wife is a Unitarian to the position of Pastor on the recommendation of a pastor who I caught in a lie ,yet he refused to Repent and even said he has no reason to repent because he’s a pastor.

It's so sad because there are genuinely people out there going to these churches who love Jesus, who are babes getting the wrong milk, and they just want to be the light in the darkness, but they are being misled on such a deceptive path. I pray that people wake up to this so quickly. I believe there is a shaking. Things are changing, and the veil of grace will lift one day. But please, Heavenly Father, have mercy on all of these people who are just in a place of not knowing, that they will not be destroyed for lack of knowledge, but rather pointed in the right direction. I pray that all of these kinds of churches will not only be a judgement for those who do not take the Word of God seriously, but rather a stepping stone that people will jump off into the arms of the Father, and through biblical teaching. Because the Word is alive, and there are always going to be differences. But the point is to get the drivetrain of the Gospel to a T the gospel is simple , to understand who Jesus is, and how we are in a desperate need of a Saviour, and how we are only righteous, and can only run through the strong tower because of what Jesus has done on the cross. We are made whole only through believing and understanding. The gift is by grace, not any kind of faith we have, but rather the faith Jesus has, because He is going before the Father for us constantly. Read Matthew 7. Lord, help us to get back. Help us, Heavenly Father. Please, use our contrite hearts. Make us whole.

Praise Christ for biblical truth.

I grew up in a denomination that was anti gifts, anti Holy Spirit, and signs and wonders and miracles. I remember walking out of the church I was in for over a decade, I asked God,” is this all to you, just living and dying.” Not knowing anything, I heard the audible voice of God say,” there is more to me then you know, and have ever experienced.” Living over 30 years in religion, I will take relationship with Jesus every time. I can tell you stories of miracles. I’d take the power and presence of God in my life, then an empty religion, theology, and denomination that doesn’t really believe in anything, except condemning others they don’t agree with. If you believe in the supernatural of the evil one, then why would not believe in the supernatural of God for today? At the end of the day, if I’m asking for a miracle, I want people praying and believing with me for one, then those who will pray not expecting anything. People need to experience the Holy Spirit, changed my life forever. It’s all the goodness of God!

Wow, the heresies and corruption in churches today are shameful and embarrassing, to say the least. No fear of GOD. How many souls are being led astray and perishing. We should have more reverence for our Creator. Our LORD GOD deserves so much more from us and out of us than this. I hope humans stop taking Jesus for granted. He is no joke. A high price was paid for us to be given the gift of salvation.

I stopped listening to Christian radio stations because they compromise too much playing songs they shouldn't, and I got tired of having to turn the radio off when they came on, possibly missing some blessed songs. So now I mostly play songs on KZread.

For most of my short life. Has almost felt like a Jail And even when I had My job. I just always felt like my life was meaningless, and it was doing nothing that my life. He's just wasting away, achieving nothing, being nothing, and being stuck where I live. I often feel Julius, Caesar. Because he When he read about the conquest of alexander the great He cried Because everything he had done in life was nothing compared alexander and his short life Alexander did something to get himself remembered forever And caesar realized At that point in his life. He would be forgotten and never remembered. And from those feelings gave birth for Caesar's desire for conquest. And to be like alexander I have often Pleaded with God for years. Or just strictly told him I hate my life But I wish I could live in the past. Live a different life in be like that was great, conquerors and generals and warriors of the past. I'm a history nerd and I love conquest I could fit more into the past Then I would in the modern world I am not ignorant what I say because I'm a historynerd and I know how people lived I've I know more about history than people know about their own languages. I have just wanted a life that had more meaning and had more things for me to do And and not have a life that turns to dust I just know I could have done more if I was given a chance In a different Point in history I just know There were so many lives I could have lived. All the centuries ago. I could have lived many different lives And just done some So much better And achieved more

Are you sure you’re in Christ? Everything you expressed is a desire for self-glorification. That if you didn’t attain the fame of some notable historical figure, your life is meaningless and purposeless. Quick question: How does the modern day mentioning of someone like Julius Caesar, benefit him today? Answer: It is of no benefit to him whatsoever. We come from dust, we return to dust. If you have in fact been graced with salvation through Christ, all other details of your life rank subordinate to that miracle. It’s gift IS the ultimate purpose of an individual’s life. Someone in Christ is gifted an understanding of such things.

Have you prayed and asked God to guide you into His purpose for you at this time of your life? God knows your struggles. Stay in prayer and wait on God. His timing is not our timing. What I hear from you is that you're in emotional pain wanting your life to mean something. I often feel the same but for different reasons. However, I remember that God is in complete control and He loves us and He will do all to bring us close to Him. He knows what He's doing even though we have no idea what's going on. You wish that you were born in a different time and place, I also wish that my circumstances were different. However, they aren't and God knew what He was doing when He caused us to be born into our circumstances. I hope that this is of some help to you. 🙏🏽

You said for most of your short life, so I'm guessing you are in your early 20's. I'm in my 50's and I'm telling you from experience that you can't analyse and understand the rest of your life from that vantage point. As you travel through each decade of your life you will learn and experience things you cannot foresee and you will change. Right now you don't even know what those experiences will be. You cannot know what you will be like until you experience it. For example let's just say you are a single man in your 20's. You overthink about everything and have deep analysis as one of your mental faculties. You find yourself one day doing something you never planned. You end up a father to adopted children and your life's meaning changes. I've seen this happen to a few people. Things can and will happen to get you out of your intense inner focus for meaning. Jesus talked a lot about denying the self, he who seeks to save his life will lose it, he who loses himself for my sake will find it etc. Christ following is a out being focused on Christ instead of self. It's not about you, it's all about him. Develope the habit of thinking, " am I overindulgence in my own thinking"?" It is a barrier to knowing Christ. Knowing and believing is the foundation. It comes first. You come last. I have obsessive thinking habit. I could spend hours overthinking and analysing things. But I could never find peace, only more anxiety. I find peace in Christ when I give it up and let him be the boss. If his will be done is the priority then my own desires become less and less significant. You don't need a big plan. You can serve Christ in fullness just by working as a cleaner and be filled with joy if you are in Christ.

Church services are so simple. Prayer, scripture, preaching from the word, holy communion, and singing of psalms and hymns.

One cannot begin to grasp the destruction of people’s faith from these heretical teachings and self appointed apostles-prophets. Jesus says He will send us the Holy Spirit, who will lead us in truth and love. Truth divides . Truth separated the Hebrews from the pagan nations surrounding them.

The devil and his army perverted all things on this earth because he runs it 😢. This is why Jesus Christ said that he will deny them all because he doesn’t know them😢

Just run from these churches, run as fast as you can, come under sound biblical teaching, get into the word of God, study as much as you can, find out for yourself what the Bible says, and then you are less likely to be deceived or led astray by strange doctrine or practice.
