Thank you for this interesting video. I did two broken zips on two coats. Once I finished I realised that each side of each jacket was not at the same level once I have already sewn the zippers. It is awful job but again it for the gardening now. But based on this productive video …. It’s a real winner. А все равно потом замок менять. Такой ремонт на неделю от силы, и все равно потом замок под замену. Потому в мастерских такой херней не занимаются, а просто меняют молнию.

Комментарий от Shuanet Ahmedova: "Не повторяйте ошибок автора,изначально надо снять сломанный пластиковый наконечник,затем только приклеивать новый и +не делайте его слишком длинным,сделайте именно той длины что и был исходный,так как он забудет закрывать звенья молнии,тем самым молния продержится не долго,и будет туго идти как у автора.Легче сделать на суперклей,и пригладить утюгом сверху(через изоляцию)для фиксации формы именно на самой молнии."

It didn’t work for me….tried with hot glue gun and also with gorilla glue. Because of the straw piece, it won’t fit in the pull, even with one layer. Good luck..

Точно! Я так делала с большой сумкой. Пришила молнию на руках к старой, сломавшейся молнии. Даже другого цвета. Получилось очень хорошо, нарядно!

Just do not repeat the mistakes of the author❗❗❗ First you need to remove the broken plastic tip. Then just glue a new tip made of a plastic tube. Don't make it too long to cover the zipper links!!! Make exactly the same length as the cut tip. Otherwise, the new plastic tube tip will cover the zipper links. Therefore, the zipper will be hard to close. You can see it in the clip. And it is better to glue on Superglue, and only then smooth it with an iron through the insulation. 👍Thanks for this tip posted earlier by Shuanet Ahmedova 👍in Russian
