It's inevitable imo sadly that it will take over quite a lot and what you see now is 100% irrelevant to what you will see in the very near future. It's def. a bit scary just how much it will be allowed to take over but it's a matter of when not if.

@@gothfather8741 technically speaking I think this guy has a much better voice than Billy, but Billy uses virtually entirely head voice, through to falsetto even, & really punches out the consonants for power. This guy is using power from his chest voice to give punch - a far more traditional (& probably more crowd pleasing & consistent) way of singing, but a COMPLETELY different technique to what Billy uses.

Holy shit... That's almost dead on. In fact, I just realized SSPU takes a lot from Smashing Pumpkins period. Better bass lines, but nonetheless.

You and Mac Glocky have this succinct talent for taking two very different atmospheric soundscape coming up with a sound that feels like it's not only accurate, but tonally feels like it's always existed

This is a really cool musical composition. I like how you blended the sounds of these two bands. The Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day are two of my faves, and I think you nailed the essence of both bands' styles.

This is exactly why I love covers. This is done so well. I want a full album of these and would put it on repeat.

This ticked every single Pumpkins box while somehow not sounding like a Werid Al-esque parody. It just genuinely sounded like a Pumpkins tune. This is extraordinary. It really goes to show how arrangement can utterly change the vibe of a song, and is possibly the most essential component to the recording process.

I was like, he would have to try to mess this up considering the chord progression is basically “Today” lol. You nailed it! Exceeded my expectations. The little bendy octave riffs at the end of each cycle of the chord progression, the combination of the breathy, nasaly and snarly vocals, it was great. You really understand the nuances that make the Pumpkins sound the way they do

You guys are awesome! Thank you for doing this.

Sneak this into a listening session of Siamese Dream for your friends and see how many of them you can convince this was a lost bonus track...

lol Dookie was the first CD I ever chose out for myself right after it was released when I was in middle school, so it's really important to me... and The Smashing Pumpkins were really important to me and the first girl I dated later in the summer between middle and high school. So when I say this is SUPREMELY WELL DONE, I'm saying this about a mashup of two things I super love, which hold IMMENSE personal meaning for me, which usually fails more than it succeeds, imo. So fucking BRAVO!!!!!!

The attention to detail here was amazing. It's not just immitating Billy but it's a reimagination of what Billy would have done in 1994. Production was very good and accurate. Dynamics were very appropriate. Really really great job. (And I usually glance over the whole If X wrote X gimmick).

This is literally exactly how I thought that would sound! Great job! I would have thought it was the Pumpkins covering it if I didn't know better.
