Tried this this morning after having a service Fords said they would charge £180 just to have a look at the fault. I declined their offer to look. The stop start hadn’t worked for a year and after I tried this it worked on my first stop at a junction. Many thanks.

@@willjones5240 Yes! I was searching for a solution for a non working start stop system because my battery was working fine. Came up to this video, followed the instructions and it worked flawlessy.

Stop Start is also disabled in low battery situations. It maybe that by resetting the battery you are ignoring a low battery problem that will cause you problems later.

Problem may also be alternator. My car was doing the same with stop/start not working and it was diagnosed the alternator not powering the battery. I await it going into garage fir further inspection

It works on my 2011 Ford focus.

It worked on my 2017 ford focus 1.0 ecoboost

If stop start isn't working just go and get your battery checked. Chances are it's low and needs replacing

Hi please assist. When i restart the battery, the auto stop/start works then the following day it goes back to not working so i have to restart the car battery every day for the function to work. What could be the cause ?

Hi, Sorry to hear that it makes you bothered. Unfortunately, as I am not a mechanic, I can’t tell you what causes this issue.

I tried on my 2016 1.0 focus trend and didn't work it must be a fuse or something else 😢

This isn’t working for my and when my battery flashes it only flashes twice instead of thrice

If you have an old battery stop start will never work until you buy a new battery

Didn’t work for me sadly fuck knows what’s up

Just fitted a new battery in a 62 plate focus, for the first time in 9 years the stop start works fine.
