Say, Boromir made good on his desire to use the Ring against Sauron, he would've used it for that purpose and acquired amplified strength. Obviously, that would've been a dumb idea - he would've just fallen to the influence of the Ring and its corruption, eventually just leading it back to Sauron once he's a mindless drone to the Ring.

I think in one of the EU books (now declared non-canon, of course), it held over 1 million techs, engineers, stormtroopers (ones who may or may not have been able to shoot well), pilots, cooks, droids (droid lives matter to someone too!), sanitation specialists (trash compactors don't fix themselves!) officers, prison guards (the reactor leaks were an urban myth, I swear!) researchers, caterers, interrogation specialists, training personnel and caterers (someone has to serve Penne a la Arabbiatta!) and other besides. Calculating the insurance premiums alone from its destruction took longer than activating an old R2 unit!

@@f.i.r.e.5119 Fairly certain it could accommodate nearly 3 times that number if you didn't mind shared living spaces in cramped military bunks, most of the room was taken up by machinery, generators, the massive computer core, it was meant to be a military installation, not a theme park after all. Feeding and housing large numbers of people is a logistical nightmare, not to mention expensive, so it makes sense to get by with the minimum number of effectives to keep the place running.

What's funny is some of the things he said to back up the villains made sense XD like give Sauron back his ring!

Well, Doom is a rightful ruler of Latveria. The issue is he wants to expand his domains, but it is actually legal for a sovereign country to engage in war. That's how US become such a big expanse of spanish, mexican, russian and french territories. The same for Israel, Russia... hell, Even Mexico and Chile expended their territories by war.

Mr Spicer, I have evidence that the Joker also broke into Commissioner James Gordon's home, kidnapped him but not before shooting his teenage daughter in the stomach. She survived but the Joker put her in a wheelchair. Batman was able to save Gordon and threw Joker back in prison for this crime. And I'm hearing rumors of him actually being a physically and psychologically abuse partner to a one Dr Harleen Quinzel. Care to comment?

His defense of Scar is actually half true. Doesn't change the fact that Scar screwed up the ecosystem and was a murdering ass, mind you. Actually, Scar's rise is more like a caricature of the type of threat Trump talked about: a bunch of foreign hyenas from outside the lighted areas of the pridelands came in and screwed everything up. It's unclear how such an unsustainable super-abundance of predators arose in the first place, but Mufasa's policy was to basically keep them out and let them starve rather than letting them kill all the prey animals in the pridelands and throw everything out of balance.

You could also consider Mufasa's policy to be nepotism since he kept out the hyenas that would compete with the same ecosystem niche as his cubs. You could compare this to restricting the H-1B visa to keep foreign educated workers from competing with American educated workers. Mufasa's policies that made Scar's rise possible are the same policies Trump has, and Scar's policies that generated lioness resentment and made Simba's rise possible are the same policies that generated the resentment that made Trump's rise possible. Except that in the real world most immigrants want to work and don't have to eat fellow citizens to survive.

Of course, it's BS that the dead lions somehow contribute more to fertilising the ground than the gazelles they eat would have, if they had just been interred.

This is a joke right. The ecosystem wasn't his fault, the world literally turned to shit the second he became king. How could he have known all the grass and trees would immediately die? And Mufasa wouldn't even kill the hyena, he made them starve to death in the elephant graveyard. When you can rally thousands of loyal soldiers by just saying "You won't starve to death" there's a very big issue.

The alternative is what we have today where politicians are paid 175k but become multimillionaires with million dollar houses with no real other source of income.
