    This is lowkey what I love about Austen novels. They show a woman's perspective on life and love from that era. It gives them a voice like a podcast might these days, and I think these books are and were very empowering.

    This was shot so cleverly. We have the same candles, same vase at a different angle and a slightly different painting (contents hidden), but with the lighting change it really feels like two ends of a table. Also the costumes are so good at conveying their difference of character, even if you don't know the period. The glasses, the necklace, the bonnet, the difference in exposed skin - it gets the point across so well! And you can reuse the hairstyle, thank god.

    Dance! There are never enough men at the dances. Also, when you get older, you can sail cruise ships practically free if you will dance with all the unpaired women. That might be a steep price to pay, though......

    I second the idea to dance! Ballroom, Latin, Blues, whatever your community has! It's a fantastic way to meet new people, particularly if your local dance community is large and thriving. It's this introvert's secret social weapon :D

    this might sound insane but i always find austen is funnier if you read it aloud in The Voice, it makes you slow down enough to get all the jokes. i could never finish P&P alone but my sister reading it aloud is one of the funniest things i've ever experienced.

    Please do! I personally prefer Sense and Sensibility because I read it spoiler-free, but Pride and Prejudice is a great story as well. I like to think of them as satire of romantic stories and that makes them quite funny

Bardzo się cieszę, że zbudowała Pani taką sporą społeczność, widzę dzięki temu, ile osób zaciekawić może historia. Jestem nastolatkiem i zawsze myślałem, że prawie nikogo historia nie interesuje oprócz mnie, a tu taka niespodzianka. Dzięki Pani stałem się śmiały i teraz często rodzinie, przyjaciołom opowiadam o przeszłości.
