That’s a big loss of money if no one picked New Orleans or somewhere in between because that’s a big population. Two professional sports teams already, so why not?

I hate how Louisville constantly flies under the radar in discussions like this. It's like people just assume it's "Kentucky" and don't even bother to check. Louisville's market is actually bigger than New Orleans, Memphis, Buffalo, Salt Lake City and (obviously) Green Bay. They have a combined 7 big 4 sports franchises. Meanwhile Louisville has none. I know realistically we won't get the NFL, but it would be nice to get mentioned every once in a while. We'll get a NBA team along with Seattle in a few years though.

Realistically it would probably be (without putting multiple teams in the same city) 1. New York 2. LA 3. Chicago 4. Philadelphia 5. Boston 6. San Francisco 7. Miami 8. New Orleans (like wtf you forgot New Orleans?) 9. Atlanta 10. San Antonio/Austin (The fastest growing large city in America) 11. Toronto (They absolutely have to be in line for an NFL franchise, the sheer size of that city all supporting 1 team?) 12. Jacksonville/Orlando 13. Denver (Growing rapidly much like Austin) 14. Seattle 15. Phoenix (Might not think about it but its one of the largest cities in the US) 16. Houston That's all I'm going to go into further and obviously my list isn't factual or perfect but I think Colin is way off adding multiple teams into cities like LA or NYC. Franchises would rather be in a bit smaller of a city and be the big fish than have to share a city and not have full support. You wouldn't see 2nd teams in LA or NYC until further down in a draft like this due to that reason. I doubt a franchise would have the 5th pick and be like oh lets go to NYC or LA which was already picked for a team when we could go to Chicago or Philly or San Francisco and be the lone team in that market.

New Orleans is one of the smallest "major" markets in the country. It's really never been the same since Katrina.

***** Market size isn't always the deciding factor. Boston is relatively a smaller market, but the fan support is through the roof. Atlanta is the largest southern city, but has pitiful fan support.

Really Madrid, let's see not a lot of interest in American football, Spain's economy is in dire straights, how could you pick Madrid. If your gonna go with mainland Europe go with an area with a strong economy, a proven interest in the game based on how well NFL Europe did there, and lots of American servicemen nearby and that would be in Germany. Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, are all better picks than Madrid.

No major soccer team in düsseldorf??? Fortuna Düsseldorf is one of the teams with the most tradition and history. Being considered "major" has nothing to do with what division you play in with f*cking rb leipzig and tsg hoffenheim play in the 1st bundesliga... there are so many "major" clubs playing in the 2nd bundesliga right now with Stuttgart, Hannover, St Pauli, Düsseldorf etc

You didn't say Detroit. All of our teams do very well and we have some stupidly wealthy business families and corporate entities also. I thought we could at least get in before a second Chicago team and much smaller towns like Cleveland or St Louis.

@ColinCowherd This list is ridiculous and needs tweaking. If the argument is base on population and economics then you have to include the largest cities where the sports is most popular which is North America. The rest of the world WATCH soccer Colin. But you're onto something bc as populations grow economies & climate change this might happen. I disagree with Cabo, Madrid and London. Why the in hell would you put half of the Nfl in four states; California, Illinois, NY & Texas? Wouldn't those teams be competing against eachother for the same fans? I did a little research Colin. You should fire some of your staff on your research team or hire me i love geography. The largest cities in North America are as follow; Mexico City, NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami & Toronto and so on. Btw Minnesota isnt a city lol. Go Packers!!!

Too many teams in NYC, LA, CHI, and in order to expand to Europe you it will be needed to hit all the major markets at once, i.e : London, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, and a club in Germany.
