    So as an American, my curious mind looked up what a P45 and at first I though it was a gun type since it sounded like an M19 or an AK47 so I thought Jake was saying “Here’s a P45 for you” like he was going to shoot Nick. But no, a P45 is basically British slang for termination of employment so Jake was saying he was firing Nick. Just for those who were curious

    Correct but it's not slang, a P45 is a document you receive when you leave a job (or get fired). So your next employer may ask for your previous P45

    Lemon maw doesn’t apply to used cars, except in rare cases where it was a buyback and then it wasn’t disclosed that the car was bought from a lemon law auction.

    On the language bit, most countries are pretty happy seeing other people outside their country attempt their language because it shows you care enough to try and speak their language. It is a form of flattery and respect towards the host country

    I can tell you that most Dutch don't like it if you try to speak Dutch to them. They either will finish your sentence because they got no patience for you to find the correct word or they will just switch to English and insist you do the same. xD

    One thing I find hilarious is German efficiency. I am half German but my German isn't the best (I am not grammatically correct and use English words for words I forget in German). When I was travelling around NZ, I was in a backpackers with 3 other Germans and we were going for a hike and I said I should try speak German because we had spoken the last 2 weeks in English. I got 2 minutes into speaking German and saying "can you repeat that please" before they eventually just said in English "We'll just speak in English, it's much easier". One of my favourite travel memories!
