Honestly i cannot be the only who noticed how many things they took off both naruto and sasuke . They could easily beat him since this Otsusuki only coul shrink objects and himself instead of absovring chakra like some of them They clearly just milked naruto and the rest of them so much that they do not have any use for them anymore . To the point i bet they gonna kill most of the old cast to create dram ..... am more disapointed on Masashi than sad or angry ...... they have managed to destroy so many things ...... but lets forget the powers they took away from them . They have destroyed their stories and rushed a new show instead of what people truly wanted ......

Fantastic animation amazing conclusion but that would have happened if he wasn't constantly throwing the chakra rods at them , these chakra rods absorb huge chunks of chakra every single second and let just not forget that he was faster an stronger than both of them at the time and he was also shrinking every non absorbable jutsu

imo this series would have been better if they skipped a generation and had it centered around Naruto's grandson during Naruto's last year's as hokage. Seeing an old Naruto/Sasuke struggle in fights would be understandable. Plus, there would be more interesting characters to bring into the universe and the writers would be able to build a story centered everything that happened during the last 40+ years after the fourth great Shinobi war, which would make the whole thing feel less rushed.

I've said this from the get go. I'm glad that other people can see this too. Then there would be no need to nerf characters, and the power scaling could blhave been reset, so that the ninja world consisted of actual ninja, and build from there. With Naruto being held in the same way Minato was.

IMO, this wasn't a simple oversight. Unfortunately, the author of Naruto had already included a "teaser" for the next generation in the last chapter of Naruto, and I believe that this would impact how Shonen Jump chose to move forward with the Sequel. I have no proof obviously, but I think that a lot of the fanbase, and who the creators need to cater to are A) Curious specifically about these new characters that have been teased by Kishimoto himself, and B) Just want to see more of their favorite characters in Naruto. Boruto for me felt more like a fan continuation that happens to still be good enough to make SJ money, than a full fledged attempt at a sequel. If Kishimoto hadn't already teased Boruto and the entire new cast as children, then I think I would agree, but with that in mind, I think it's harder for me to say that every team involved with the project simply didn't think about it.

I mean, it was always strange how broken the rinnegan was in the original Naruto with all of its abilities, one of which being an instant kill move that pulls put someone's soul, and it was only used as a glorified uber during the fight.

The instant kill move that was resisted by a far weaker kcm1 Naruto, that instant kill move? Also doesn't that require Sasuke to grab and restrict Jigen's movement and given the fact he couldn't touch nor restrict him it wouldn't work (Skip everything after this if you don't want your mind changed and have a good day 🙂👍) didn't Obito state the Rinnegan abilities aren't effective enough in battle for strong opponents and required too much chakra. Shinra Tensei was countered by six tails Naruto so we know it can be overpowered by stronger people, universal pull would've brought Jigen in attack range but the same would be said for Sasuke and he tried the teleport move that had the same result as universal pull but it was countered. Chibaku Tensei seems like a good option but didn't Momoshiki, someone far weaker than jigen, break out of it. kirin could've been useful if it couldn't be shrunk, however it can be because it's not a living being, all jutsu all nulled by shrink so amaterasu really seems to be Sasuke's only viable...oh wait- For Naruto sensing would've helped in battle had we'd not been told that otsutsukis can hide their chakra presence in IDK the chapter but it's can be found on Google or somewhere the manga, it could be argued that Naruto could've used frog kata but we haven't seen him use it ever since the pain fight, he never used it in KCM2 sm so he might not be able to use it in SPSM, and yes he does still have it, maybe rasenshuriken could've done something if it couldn't be seen from a mile away and shrunk, oh I know, his truth seeking orbs that he *totally didn't* lose in his fights against kaguya, Madara, and Sasuke would've been useful despite Jigen having SP chakra from tentails and potentially(most likely) having it naturally as an otsutsuki or despite the fact that Lee and Minato react to them even tho they can't react to Madara showing that truth seeking orbs are far slower than the user. Naruto's shadow clones have a bad history of being overpowered by people stronger/ more skilled than him, examples being, Sasuke rooftop, vote fight, kaguya fight, etc and since Jigen is stronger than Naruto the same could apply there. Boil release has never been used after kaguya's fight so Boruto didn't write it off, kishimoto did since Naruto didn't use some form on Sasuke or Toneri so it might've not be a viable option here and kaguya was standing still off guard because of overconfidence to be fair. Sadly no matter which way it's looked at, given what we know of Sasuke and Naruto their wasn't much that could've been applied that wasn't already tried, Jigen's just a bad matchup.

I understand not wanting Naruto and Sasuke to be main heroes of the show since their time is to shine is done. But there are better ways than nerfing them to the ground. And literally make them pretty much useless against the new villains. The fact they got rid of Sasuke’s Rinnegan and made Kurama die, just shows they absolutely don’t want Naruto or Sasuke to have any use. Which I find it being lazy writing, just straight up deleted the things that made them special. You can still take away Naruto and Sasuke from the spotlight without needing to get rid of every single bit of their arsenal.

Very true, what I had hoped for is to have this new generation work just as hard to surpass Naruto and Sasuke by their own rights. But instead they are pretty much handed out power ups after power ups without much of a trade off 🤷🏿‍♂️

Thing is, they really nerfed Naruto's ability to strategize on the spot. Like his ability to use Oiroke No Jutsu, to use baits and to deceive with Kagebunshin and decoys. This is what annoys me the most. Even though that ability is what made even Zetsu and Kaguya considered him as a huge threat, even more so than his SPSM and Kurama Mode.

@@4yahwey275 wasn't it the same case with Kaguya though? Yet he managed to be considered as a threat by Kaguya by using Oiroke: Gyaku Harem No Jutsu alone, and not because SPSM. And he didn't know more about Kaguya, not as much as Jigen. Informations on Jigen and Isshiki or Ootsutsuki Clan are bigger in Boruto era, due to how many encounters they have after Kaguya. Not to mention.... The fight against Jigen shown by Kashin Koji? So this is basically a nerf.

Also, if we're talking about strategies of Naruto when he was against Kaguya, remember when he was stalling for time so that he can reunite with Sasuke again? That time he put his Gudoudama behind his Kagebunshin to dupe Kaguya so that she would think that the Kagebunshin is the real him, when it's actually a decoy? This is another proof that Naruto actually has the ability to strategize on the spot or on the go when needed even against an opponent he doesn't know anything about. Face it. Naruto was nerfed in the whole plot of facing Jigen, just so that Boruto may shine. I dropped it because of that. Now I returned because Kishimoto took it back and because the story has become great again and with values. But I still am disappointed because of what happened to Naruto, not because he got done in by Kawaki, but because they nerfed him unjustly like that.

Sasuke's always running out of Chakra but never uses Kirin, one of his strongest jutsus that only requires a fire breathing jutsu and wouldn't have to rely on his very limited chakra.

Once Boruto came along people forgot how to distinguish filler from canon.

Sasuke definitely had a lot of stuff he could’ve used here and Naruto had plenty of other options as well. Summoning jutsus, all of the elements with rasengan, biju bombs, using his clones properly etc. Didn’t even try sexy jutsu

The summonings are weak as hell compared to boruto characters, ganabunta is weaker than 1 tails and weaker than one of the weakest path of pain, same goes for the snake summonings and katsuyu can only heal

The only thing that really let me down with the final fight against Jigen is that the BIGGEST problem was him throwing stakes at very high speed and not giving time to counterattack without ending up hurting Naruto and Sasuke all the time. But friends, remember when Naruto faced the third Raikage in the Fourth Ninja War, in which he had to use Sennin Mode to sense the danger around him and not get killed by the Raikage's ray shield? He could have easily used this in tailed-up mode to at least be able to dodge a little more of the Jigen's stakes instead of getting impaled.

He couldn't dodge them because the rods were atom sized with multiple going around them. Even Sasuke himself who had a six paths Rinnegan and EMS could barely keep up with them. I really don't think Naruto is harnessing that much six paths power anymore through Boruto. It becomes pretty apparent. Jigen is also harnessing the power of a juvenile 10 tails despite already being a top tier Otsotsuki.

@Aether Hilichurl Destroyer Stakes don't have chakra (a priori) or sensation. Jigen manipulates their size instantly. There is no way to anticipate them with a sensor. Furthermore, if you take into account the mythological character (Issun Boshi) that Isshiki is based on, he has an ability to "lessen the sense of danger" of his opponents. This is reflected in the ability of the black cube that disoriented Naruto's sensor. Anyway, Naruto not being able to feel or handle the stakes very well is perfectly plausible.

Yet so far the idea of him having to use Baryon mode is very flawed cause they could added it when Kawaki betrays Naruto. In other words they pushed things way too quickly and nerf down the older generation badly. Besides I am pretty sure Naruto in Kurama+Sennin mode will catch Jigen off guard cause the impact of the hit is very fast that even Nagato who use Rinnegan on his Pain puppets can't sees it coming.

My thoughts on Naruto power ups vs Boruto power ups: (quick summary at the end) I think it's important to remind everyone that naruto and sasuke obtained their power through truamatic losses and hard dedication ----> Naruto waterfall training, Sasuke's development with Orochimaru, Naruto's sage training after Jiraya death, Sasuke's Taka, etc. Another thing is that they faced crude choices to make an impact -----> Sasuke visiting itachi's body to steal his eyes for EMS or Naruto sacrificing his seal to tame Kuruma or achieve another tail) Those character choices (uniquely to their own set of previously established powers) have an impact on the story that understandably develops the plot and power scaling, and it's a canonical way to make a character stronger in order to achieve their goals. (It gives depth in their choices because of WHO they ARE, Ex: Sasuke's curse mark bc of his inferiority complex, Naruto giving into the 9 tailed fox in order to save his loved ones.) In boruto, they just hand them out like nothing and boruto literally has never sacrificed anything for power unlike ones in Naruto Shippuden. The story has nothing to give me that invests me in the themes it tries to give and their pursuit of power; It just comes to boruto from either bull crap "emotional" scenes or a new random power with little to no lore or explanation. ----> Ex: (Jougan, Karma, talking to an tsuki, Naruto + boruto rasengan, sudden increase of power with boruto training with naruto for like 2 episodes, Jutsu tech, ancient uchiha's, dinosaurs, time travel??? etc). Boruto's stories cheapens Shippuden's stories: ----> Some great stories and themes: 8 gates guy to represent ninja's who CANNOT USE jutsu, Sai's way of shinobi life by cutting off emotions and family for Danzo's Anbu, Shusui's sacrifice for Itachi, Itachi's sacrifice for nurturing a future for the Leaf and sasuke, Tsunade's mourning of her loved ones inspired her to become the BEST medical ninja in HISTORY, Kakashi's loss of BOTH his FRIENDS AND FAMILY while gaining a sharingan; mastering a foreign power to the point he became feared across all lands as the COPY NINJA. And so on) Summary: Shippuden delivered meaningful powerscaling by asking "WHO ARE YOU?"; "CAN YOU LIVE WITH THIS SACRIFICE?" while maintaining relavent character themes (Sasuke's hatred = power or Naruto's isolation bc of 9 tails = love for friends ). Boruto delivers meaningless power scaling by disregarding important themes in important character moments. (boruto suddenly unlocking jougan during academy but doesn't focus on his struggle on an absent father or him being revived because of the tsuki but disregarding the reality that he died). It feels like character depth is just not present in boruto's character and show, It's all just a shallow power fantasy carried by Shippuden characters with decent but overindulging amounts of slice of life episodes

Well. They didn't just hand over Power to the Boruto. Jogan is only shown in anime and he didn't even master it. You should understand that Boruto isn't an ordinary kid. He is the son of the strongest shinobi in his time. It's only natural for him to learn things quickly. Even in Shippuden, there were geniuses like Minato, Itachi, and Shisui. They were crazy strong for their age and quick learners. Karma - Maybe they didn't show well but you can see in the anime Boruto is scared to sleep because of Momoshiki. He harms his loved ones because of karma power. He even sacrificed his life for the village. He even loses his identity because of Karma. Also, we still don't know if he mastered this power or not. Boruto is different from Naruto. He is more crafty. Saying they just handed over power to him is not true. The time travel arc is more nostalgic and seeing Naruto's past was good character development for Boruto. In the end, they create Rasengan with a syncing with each other. High Technology existed in Naruto and Boruto explored it. I am not seeing any problem here. Dinosaurs - It's from Sasuke's student novel. Many fans like its manga adaptation but the Anime adaptation was bad. They cut important and cool moments. Dinosaurs sound like nonsense but it's Naruto world. They were revived by Edo Tensei. It's just a novel isn't supposed to be animated. It also doesn't have any connection with Boruto's storyline. Summary: Boruto isn't as great as Naruto's story but it isn't meaningless either. It doesn't cheapen Naruto's lore by any means.

Tbh I mostly agree with you for me nothing makes sense in Boruto at all like there no much deep in it, I stopped watching Boruto when Kurama died like bruh. Boruto anime is all over the place and for some reason I don't get how crazy technology existed after Shippuden like them adding trains and some modern thing to a ninja world where mostly been from +200 years ago... The power system in Boruto is too complicated and is like they were gifted not even trained on them. The power system in Naruto made all sense and most of their gifted powers they even trained to upgrade or master while in Boruto they didn't train that much. I will not never watching Boruto again due them making the characters nerfed and making the new gen buffed like crazy I can't believe Naruto ended that fast... why did they had to replace Kishimoto with someone else...

Sasuke is supposed to be one of the characters with massive chakra, second only to Naruto due to him having Uzumaki blood and Kurama. I don't want to get into an argument of whether they were nerfed or not, but they definitely turned a high stakes fight into a casual brawl.

What bugged the absolute life out of me is that Naruto can sense negative emotions, and chakra, especially in sage mode. I'm pretty sure Jigen is more negative than Kisame since he was an unwilling host to Isshiki. Sick of him wondering where Jigen/Isshiki went off to.

Every Otsutsuki can literally just delete their entire presence whether if it's physically, mentally, chakra based, or anything else. You actually learn a lot about the villain and their presence has more meaning rather than just having a character pop up out of nowhere and kick the asses of our favorite characters in the series from the beginning, you can see where it would be hard for many of us to accept, it's something these writers fail to understand.

The issue is Naruto always gave us the same formula because of the world ie (good guy turns evil to save the world his way or good guy turns evil) boruto doesn’t have that because in boruto none of the villains were ever good they are pure evil and sadistic. Momoshiki imo is one of the best villains we got Pure evil no good in him at all he wants to corrupt the main character and pushes him to do awful things such as maiming his own master. This is different than kurama who was turned cruel by humanity momo wasn’t he just does this stuff for powers sake and somewhat for fun

Isshiki is a polite master mind who manipulates things until he can’t anymore he tortures just for the sake of it. Momoshiki takes boruto and makes him do awful stuff and it’s not like how Naruto and kurama were where Naruto can learn to not give in. Boruto whether he wants to or not will destroy and harm and kill because he will become Momoshiki(not including spoilers here).

The thing is, Naruto do not need Sasuke to tell him where Jigen is when he shrink himself. He should be able to sense Jigen even if he is small. Naruto was able to detect Kisame by sensing his intention in a sword. Madara's invisible clone from different dimension was also not an issue for him. So tell me how is it possible that he is not able to detect Jigen just because he is small?

note that he was able to detect. keyword here is detect. he was able to sense the presence of madaras limbo but didnt know exactly where it was whereas, sasuke could see the limbo due to his rinnegan. when he detected kisame, he could SEE the sword, hence not only sensing but findingh im too. over here, jigen is essentially too small to see with the naked eye therefore, naruto was probably able to sense him but not able to detect him completely and since jigens abillities dont work with the rinnegan, sasuke couldnt see him either

@@jesuscrust4462 LOL. They had to remove the orbs just because it's too powerful really. Naruto had to be nerfed because he was just too powerful. He could fly, he could heal, he could do anything, he even punched wayyyyy harder than he does now. Anyways, in Boruto it really seemed like Naruto couldn't sense Jigen at all, he looked absolutely clueless when Jigen shrinked himself, so his sensing got totally nerfed. If you look back to the fight against Madara, Naruto's clones were actually able to locate the invisible Madara clones and fight them head on without Sasuke's help. Sasuke was in the sky at this point destroying the meteors with the original Naruto so, really Naruto should've been able to find and kick little Jigen away or something.

I honestly feel like it wouldn’t have been like this due to the fact that they could’ve used more advanced ninjutsu but loved every second of it!! The fact that they’re literally in their physical primes and feel weaker than their teen selfs always upsets me.

That animation was great, especially that bit at the end with the tumble.

I mean Jigen would've given them a MUCH harder time regardless of a their nerf. He's essentially Kaguya 2.0 and on steroids. But yes, I understand why they nerfed Naruto and Sasuke, to slowly phase them out so they can do the beta Naruto story with Boruto and Kawaki = Naruto and Sasuke. But it's still stupid. Naruto and Sasuke at the end of shippuden are borderline gods. The only other beings alive capable of fighting them would be themselves and the Otsutsuki clan. That's it. Hell Naruto could take on every other Kage with 1 arm and come out on top. After 16 years of watching them grow into god level beings, to have our childhood characters absolutely embarrassed in Boruto has been a sad, sad time. With Kurama gone now especially Naruto has his Sage mode but...that's it. Dudes pretty fkn normal compared to what he was.

Very early in the first Naruto it was pointed out that Naruto's total amount of chakra would be higher if he wasn't a jinchuriki. So the question is whether his total without kurama is higher than him and Kurama combined. (Unlikely, kurama has insane chakra levels by definition as a tailed beast) However, overall i disagree with many of the decisions for Boruto, including usting the Aliens as the main villains. They could have left Naruto and Sasuke at their EoS power levels and still let the kids shine by sending them on missions to other lands (like they did in early naruto) where they are unlikely to get backup. The only thing i would change about the kids power level is not letting them use all the chakra natures right off the bat, sure most of them are "geniuses" (naruto was an idiot, boruto isn't) and the school clearly has had curriculum updates to include things like walking in walls (something Naruto's class didn't learn until after graduation) but it was still stated that only Jonin normally reach the level of using 3 of them.

The fight in the anime should have either been a two seconds fight where Jigen spuns rods in their heads and they die quick, or a long fight where Jigen eventually wins but Naruto and Sasuke fought to the best of their ability. Some of the problems with this fight are that: Shrinking is an overpowered move that could have killed them in seconds Sasuke's sharingan can see chakra so he should not have had so much problems with Jigen's shrinking. Sasuke could see Diedara's nano bomb particles. Naruto and Sasuke should not have become tired and lost chakra so easily. Naruto fed an army with chakra during the war, remember.

my problem with this fight is shrinking is freaking stupid. especially with the feats weve seen both of them accomplish when not able to see opponents. not to mention a shrinking gimmick feels way to easy or cheap for an otsutsuki.

To be honest if they really wanted jigen to win the fight then actually have naruto and sasuke use all there jutsu and go all out. And improve jigens ability. Instead of it beings rods it should have been Jigen shrinking mountains to the microscopic size and hitting naruto and Sasuke with that. And instead of the rocks coming to there original size, jigen could control the amount they expand to deal the most effective blow. They should have just let the rocks hit them but they are shrunk but they have the force as if they had Before being shrunk. What they could have done was make that the rocks were undectable untill they are shrinked and expanded. This could have been the key of jigen winning as Naruto and Sasuke didn't have intel on him and by the time they figured out his deal, they would have already taken alot of damage. This would have been a nice callback to the jiraya fight and actually proved that naruto was still about Strategy and shit and not just like dragon ball. This would have also fixed some issues with naruto.

You do understand they can't use any chakra based jutsu vs jigen right? Jigen literally consumed an entire flames of amaterasu from sasuke. The only jutsu i think can be used against him is kirin since kirin used an outside force from a real lighting. WHICH IS NOT ALSO ENOUGH TO BEAT JIGEN. Also, remember when in shippuden they say Full form sussano is the strongest defense u can have? Yeah, jigen kicked sasuke out of it and got bored of his fight vs naruto and sasuke.

The end scene of Jigen being cut in half from his POV was really cool. Over all pretty good animation but yeah Jigen was nerfed alot. But remember even if they killed Jigen Isshiki would have been reborn so them killing him at that point wasn't always a good idea unless if they could have stopped him from reincarnating

If he would’ve left the scene I believe Naruto could have suspended Baryon mode since he hadn’t expended all of the life force of Kurama at the time. Then when Isshiki would return he would re activate it. I don’t think it was stated wether it could or couldn’t be reactivated but I just like to believe it could since Kurama still had life force for Naruto to burn.

@@d.o.c6200 jigen couldn’t dodge the first one because they were faster, sasuke used his rinnegan ability before jigen could hit his susano, which he decided not to do in the anime, sasuke use Kirin because it’s natural energy, and can’t be absorbed unlike amaterasu which he used in the actual fight, naruto used all the surrounding nature energy and used his most powerful kurama construct the same one he used in the final battle against sasuke, which he didn’t do in the anime, sasuke blitzed jigen at the end and cut him in half

@@cutedog3211 they didn't get "nerfed" until they lost kurama and the rinnegan. just because an opponent (in this case jigen/isshiki) is very powerful, doesn't mean that naruto and sasuke have suddenly become weaker. this animation's power scaling is off because jigen could have just shrunk the susanoo chidori and the ultra big ball rasenshuriken. i really like this animation but i don't like it's power scaling so i just like to think of it as a weaker jigen who can't properly use sukunahikona lol

I love how Sasuke, the ultimate user of both Rinnegan/ Sharingan, is able to pinpoint him every time. It was so disappointing just seem them been hurt by needles on that fight. Granted Jigen may had the element of surprise and Sasuke is kind of a glass cannon, but darn, even if he is not at the same level than in fourth war he still had more than 15 year to master his powers, and with Sharingan Rinnegan he got lot of recovery and dodge. I can see Sarada having to take some time to analyse an opponent, but him? Same with Naruto Sannin mode, he wouldn't be so lost so easily. That fight seemed rush just for the impact of it

Sasuke's lightning dragon, sorry I forgot what it's called, wouldve actually been effective against Jigen because he wouldn't be able to absorb it, since it's natural light being redirected. Although Sasuke cant use this justu whenever, there has to be a large amount of thunder clouds which is usually produce from the heat of their jutsu. But they were using jutsu because Jigen could absorb it. But Sasuke couldve just shot fireballs in the sky like he did against Itach.

If they wanted Isshiki to feel super strong, they just make him stronger than Naruto and Sasuke but still let them use all of their abilities. As it stands it feels like he isn't actually that strong but rather just got handed the win via the writers nerfing the former protagonists.

I personall think they should have done like you've said but do it much later in story, when Boruto is already Chunin or Jounin (I think I've called them right) than introduce Oshutsuki related plot not before ... curently boruto is doing same as thing as Naruto - "He is kid with something bad sealed in him" that is literally lazy ... I would rather want for Boruto to gain some unique Byakugan related Oshutsuki dojutsu (eye technic) like allowing him to see seeral seconds into future (giving him like gokus UI or One Piece observation Haki) Not simply - " Uhh even stronger monster appear ... with new Plot related Technick Boruto and Friends are gonna win ". Anyway at first Sasuke and Naruto should have been presented as power houses - Naruto would have been able to beat 3 Sages of leaf in their prime without breaking sweat so how the hell just clone of prime Jiraya was able to fight Jigen at 10% (technically 10%+) of his power if he Rekt both Naruto and Sasuke at lower.

Nerf older characters into oblivion because we know how strong they are and come up with some BS "new generation 10x stronger" or some asspull justsu-story writing to pull em through. Honestly it's the main reason why I haven't bothered watching-reading boruto as a whole as it was clear what direction they were going at early on. Just look at how they handled various characters.... Anko, Shino and whomever else got wrongly treated.

Sasuke in Boruto:Throws a kunai and runs out of chakra. Naruto in Boruto:Does some paperwork and runs out of chakra. And also the next time we see Sasuke he may be roaming around without his left foot.

The issue with Jigen is conceptually he had an extremely powerful ability, the ability to reduce and enlarge objects to their orginal size. The problem is that it was done poorly in the anime. It would have been better if he released a ton of micro sized rocks that were really the size of mountains. Think back to the figtht with Deidera. Sauske could see the bombs he released due to chakara, so it would have taken time to realize what was hitting them, of course with their bodies they could react before they breathed them in, but not expanding infront of them or around them. As long as the objects did not have chakara until they were increased or reduced in size, neither could detect them. That is how that Jigen could have won the fight, and them not be nerfed.

Think about, jigen got a really trash ability compared to other characters. An ability so simple yet so powerful bc an enemy can barely control the battle and how would they find out he can shrink. I like the type of character that don't need super complex power or sum. Just a small really basic power that can be powerful depending on the user IQ. Nooww imagine if Itachi had this power? Imagine if tobirama could shrink. Tobirama is 100% smarter than isshiki. The creator of jutsus and stuff. He would have become the first and only hokage.

I would’ve really wished the time skip between the Naruto and Boruto series left us with new surprises in abilities that Naruto and sasuke have gained since they’re considerably older and therefore should be more experienced and powerful. But that was never to be the case

Fun fact: Kirin is unavoidable unblockable and you can't absorb it because its not actually chakra, its real lightning simply being guided by chakra like a lightning rod. Its actually pretty fascinating he makes an elementary chakra thread from his hand to the opponents standing area and it follows it down to its natural path. Same reason he couldnt absorb the fire that Kashin Jiraiya hit him with

@@devanplays3509 all I'ma say is that otsutsuki cannot be put in genjutsu. Second sasuke cutting off his head is bull sh*t bc why didn't he use the rods to protect himself like he did in the anime? And on top of that he can shrink sasuke sword like he did in the manga. Third ninjutsu doesn't work bc he literally tanked a tailed beast bomb ( THIS IS FULL KURAMA 100% and jigen weakened tanked Naruto tailed beast bomb and sasuke susano'o slash, that was said to cut mountains with the slash of a sword. He can also absorb any of their jutsu. All that being said, naruto and sasuke were only left with taijutsu, which as stated by kurama, "taijutsu will leave u at a disadvantage". They were outclassed at taijutsu so there was nothing they could do. And for naruto using ashura mode is bs bc there is no nature energy in that dimension. Same with sasuke kirin. This is why they lost. Jigen planned this and had them fight on a literal coffin.

@@kingkesh8236 the kaguya thing would never happen first of all and two I don't think the hundreds of years of experience would be enough in such a fight with their ninjutsu at play they would have way more to work with other than punching and kicking him to oblivion Plus they've evolved beyond kaguya( pre-nerf) so with more options to work with I think they could've done better And can someone explain why Naruto couldn't sense him when he could shrink, I mean the man could sense emotions

Imagine if Sasuke would use that multiple burning meteors to make tham rotate and create cyclone with full of lightings and thunders in order to create Kirin and then mix it with Susano to cover it with armor and use as holded and fully controled power of the storm within. Fast and powerfull at strikes and if Jigen would try to destroy it, he would have to take that storm power hit once Susano armor would be destroyed (quite like Alien and its accid blood dilema). What a wasted oportunity by Kishimoto. Wonderfull fight concept mate!

I can understand why you feel like the characters have been NERFED, it seems like it’s an occurring thing that happens a lot in a lot of series. It’s when the character shows so much power and it’s such a bad ass that you can’t help but wonder why they never use that power ability or technique again in later installments of the trilogy. That’s why I really have no problem with this video because I agree with a lot of people that the characters just don’t really seem as strong as they should be and it shouldn’t be because they’re trying to make the younger generation look better. In my opinion it is a good example of just bad writing. You shouldn’t have to purposely cripple a legacy character just so you could try to make your new characters look better in comparison. You can make a character bad ass while at the same time increase the importance of the newer character as the series progresses.

Yea man, like in the end of shoppuden, naruto and sasuke are like gods power wise, easily beating kaguya, and fighting each other to near death afterwards, all after fighting in a war nonstop for days, and that was when they were teenagers. They had years to learn new techniques, and naruto being hokage gave him access to all forbidden jutsus and his family uzumaki sealing jutsus. Imagine a god natuto with sealing jutsu chains and using stuff like shadow paralysis, he could have been that, instead, he was nerfed until he was lower than mid shippuden level

The creator has this bad habit of introducing some amazing ability or power up but then somehow either treats the fan as if it never happened or create some really stupid idiotic excuse to why they can never use it again. I mean if the creators were willing to at least explain that their jujitsu are just so overpowered that it does take a huge amount of stamina out of them over the years….At least it would explain why the characters seem a shell of their former greatness….(but I’m pretty sure fans would not except it🤣🤣) This whole series just feels like the creator is trying to completely make the Naruto franchise his own by burning away everything his employer worked upon and try to Shanghai it for himself. But I think what people should be more upset about is that Masashi Kishimoto, is giving so much blatant freedom for his past assistant and doesn’t seem to care that he is probably doing a lot of damage to his legacy.

Pretty underrated comment, remember when the sound ninja that had a cursed seal were extremely OP, but they had to fight 4v2 jounins, so when the Naruto party arrived they had a chance because they were tired. Now that was great writing, situacional and plot narrative.

The animation is amazing and at the end when sasuke let go of his sword and it slid back into its holder, you took that from shippuden when they first find sasuke! You gotta remember one thing. The duo never defeated Kaguya... they just sealed her. The only mistake they made in this fight was not showing both Naruto and Sasuke truly fighting with all their aquired skills, then Isshiki simply overpowering them because of his Otsutsuki strength and knowledge of their reputation.

It's crazy people say that they aren't nerfed here which might be true from a narrative perspective. But from a visual and intuitive stand point they feel really nerfed. Shippuden was great because it felt like enemies actually had stakes. Like when they fought Madara, it felt like everyone was fighting someone with the potential to destroy the world. Now there is characters like the shiki gang who have conquered planets and eaten multiple Chakra fruits, but their battles don't feel like they have stakes.
