@@aimsfabs6147 it's not expected but we see this happen all the time whether it's our parents or the aunties down the road I know way too many women in "marriages" with men and they provide everything financially and these women are lonely in every sense of the word. they won't plan dates for you, they won't court you, they dont nuture the kids with you, he's not emotionally available or even present in the relationship this happens very regularly in "traditional marriages" and a lot of women cannot see the difference because they think he's bought me a house, car, given me children and gives me money every week

For men 22-29 £30,000. 30-49 £37,000. 40-49 £40,000 And even lower if we’re just talking about the average for African/Carribean British men. £30,000 after tax is £24,422. That’s £2016 a month. At least £700 on rent. £1100/£1200 minimum if you live alone.. £300 food. Then gas, car, insurance, bills, leisure etc. Lucky to have even £400 left, even if you’re good at saving. That’s your average Joe. Always has been. A big wake-up call for the women that demand a man on 100k+ a year which isn’t even 100k, it’s £67,000 after tax LOL.

I see sometimes this show catches flack but tbh I'm a huge fan of it now. This is what certain conversations would look like unscripted in our own settings with a little less formality. Very close to realism "on camera" as you can probably get. That's not to say you agree with everyone or every stand point or topic but this isn't a Ted Talk either is it? I also really like that the convos aren't always explicitly sexual like we get with a lot of modern black podcasts which is a really big turnoff for me. I really enjoy the formula BKCHAT has going with it's Ep structure. I haven't seen any of the earlier seasons as of yet but I do plan to after watching S6's drops so far. I'm hooked. ICL. I know for a fact that if a man their type, provided for them, invested into their businesses that made them “feel” independent they would take that man in a heartbeat. Women by default like security. After a while of doing “50/50” etc they will begin to resent the man. Also in regards to the two women “advocating” for provider men that makes sense because those two women more than anyone else will understand- the cons of not having a solid union or relationship. Maybe inadvertently they’re actually telling the other women that men are needed/ have to fulfil their provider roles .Yes it’s all well and good when you’re young and child free to say “I’m independent” etc but when you have another life to look after that independence will come back to bite

Also you’re giving off pick me vibes because you keep talking about “being there for a man when he’s low” be there for a man he’s low all you like hunny bun but he’ll leave you when he’s up and he will provide for her with the money have saved from not providing for you. @@Truthbetold-pm2co I completely disagree with this you resent a man for going 50/50? no the issue is a lot of men go 50/50 expecting the same benefits as if he was paying for everything and the overall issue for me is there's too much emphasis on the financial aspect of providing a relationship that people forget the fact that providing is also emotional just because you're splitting expenses and it doesn't even need to be 50/50 it could be 60/40 or 70/30 the emotional availability and emotional intelligence from both parties still needs to be there you're saying that women will jump the first chance they get a man who provides 100% yeah maybe some but I think if that's all it takes to bag you a lot of these "provider" men will exploit that in a heartbeat but I do see where you're coming from
