Byleth’s “gimmick” is that they can alternate between like 6 weapons that was the point of the announcement trainer they even made fun of the “two many swordsman” criticism

It’s kinda stupid though because it doesn’t even line up with what Byleth does in the game. The Sword of the Creator is the one weapon that Byleth has the divine ability to wield. They kind of allude to this in the trailer but those other weapons (axe, bow, spear) cannot be used by anybody except their one specific target person, being the house leaders. I still think Edelgard was the right choice if we had to do a Three Houses rep. She uses an axe which is different from other characters and is also kind of a villain. Speaking of FE villains, Black Knight echo for Ike would be relatively uncontroversial and cool

Villain or no, he IS still from Fire Emblem, and there's already plenty of Fire Emblem even if we take Byleth out of the picture. Marth Lucina Roy Chrom Robin Ike Corrin Correct me if I've missed anyone, but that makes 7 fighters when we don't include Byleth. Regardless of whether we have Byleth or Black Knight, that'd be 8 Fire Emblem reps.

I would have loved to see Steve perfectly emulating a Minecraft player acting through his Minecraft character in cutscenes. Like how he would sneak and walk back, taking out his sword and bringing out his shield only to then jump run to the opponent trying to land critical hits. Absolutely hilarious yet makes you feel right at home with such character.

I always say this, but my number one issue with World of Light is the fact that it has no platforming. Melee and Brawl already pretty well established that this was the key gameplay element setting it apart from the other modes, and after being absent in Smash4, Ultimate finally brings it back only to completely gut it of that element, making it nothing but a series of vs. matches against other playable characters (just like 90% of the rest of the game....... and it's only made even more redundant since Spirit Board exists). If we do somehow manage to get another Adventure Mode in Ultimate, I don't care how much or how little storyline there is...... hell, World of Light has an extremely basic, hands-off story as is (with the opening cutscene being the only really awesome part...... and they already spoiled it in the Direct)....... just give me some god damn platforming stages, and all is forgiven. Or, at the very least, let us be able to rebattle the bosses.

The idea my friends and I had for a Pokémon dlc is Ogerpon, having it be normally grass based, with its smash attacks being fire f smash, water up smash, rock down smash, and making its neutral b be similar to monado arts with the different masks

For me is Koraidon along Solgaleo as Fighters, Koraidon Final Smash would be The fighters getting hitted by The paradox primal pokemon whose Final Attack would have Walking Wake, Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt

With these 3 Paradox pokemon rushing and Using their claws as Walking Wake using His Claws, his 2 Tails, Raging Bolt Slamming and then Gouging Fire whose starts to ram the Fighters and then Use his Shield to burn until Koraidon turns onto a Wheel and Makes the fighters starts to Fly away from the Screen hitting the 4th Wall so hard that causes the cracks to break fully

Dr Eggman would probably be a Bowser Jr echo. prove me wrong. If shadow was a sonic clone that would be the most disapointing thing ever

@@K01_keeper I made it. I hate it, but realistically it's the fastest way they could add a new character, and I mean, most of his bossfights appear in a flying ball. Kinda like the koopa clown car

Honestly I have this perfect vision where Diddy and Dixie are paired together, and the swap animation would obviously need to be different from the Pokeballs or the aegis swap, so the animation would simply be a high five to tag in before the other you were using before Despawn after a couple of frames, it would fit perfectly with the characters and wouldn't be too intrusive like the sheik Zelda transformation

Crash Bandicoot is the most baffling omission to me. He was rivals with Mario and Sonic in the 90s, he has a limitless moveset, he’s a silly cartoon platforming character (which is a very popular archetype among character requests), and he’s popular in both America AND Japan! He’s as popular as he is today BECAUSE of his success in Japan! Nintendo themselves have admitted he’s a gaming icon! The guy in the Crash suit yelling at Nintendo HQ with a megaphone from those old commercials could’ve been a hilarious Mii costume. Heck, Crash getting REVEALED as a DLC character could’ve utilized the Crash suit with the other Nintendo character suits from the original Smash 64 commercial! Crash was one of the *easiest* locks for Smash Ultimate and it’s absolutely shocking to see him get ZERO representation! 😓

Classic Sonic alt for the blue blur feels like it should be pretty easy.

I think the hunters will have to be treated like fire emblem every monster have different weapons they will need their own slots and they all have different outfits.

I don’t know why some people think they’ll drastically cut the roster. Same for a reboot I mean it would sell badly as it’s a bad deal and people would play the old game. Still change fighters but don’t cut the roster drastically honestly most characters should always stay if not all as it just makes the game more valuable.

If, by any chance we got another game, we need a sonic rework. Bring a few elements of the werehog/frontiers combat and remove some of the old moves like spindash and... spindash. Edit: as a new Pokèmon character, if some the video doesn't have the guess correct, bring Eevee on over and off the pokèball slot. Context: an inspired move set from a video series called "What if [insert character name] was in Smash Ultimate"

Why wasn't Ryu Hayabusa mentioned? Ninja Gaiden is one of the classics of the NES and SNES era of Nintendo and would translate very well into Smash. I've wanted him to be added all the way back when Super Smash Bros Brawl was announced. He should have at least been an honourable mention on the list.

There could've been at least one F Zero fighter. Blood Falcon, Black Shadow, Heck, even Rick Wheeler (Or Ryu Suzaku)

Call me crazy, but I think Phoenix Wright is more likely than the monster hunter for a capcom rep, and there didn’t feel like a big popular ending choice, and I would honestly place some bets on Geno, especially with Mario RPG getting remade (probably in place of Ring Fit Trainer, who I’d more likely assume to be added in a next base roster)

If there could've been a Fighter Pass 3, I'd go with Lloyd Irving, Dr. Eggman, Meowscarada, Crash, and Dante. I've also though quite a bit about that story thing too though. I think a good way around that is if you add quite a bit of randomization to the story mode. That way anyone who watches it online knows for a fact that they are still missing out because some aspects could randomly be decided for them specifically if they were to try. The real question would be how to implement such a thing.......

I think one thing we need is a character that would shock the nation, sure not everyone would do that however there would be certain characters that would, if we look at Banjo & Steve for example, they’re Microsoft characters and while they weren’t that shocking since they were both demanded the fact it happened was shocking but take it a step further and go for a character that has no history with Nintendo aside for the company, a Sony character, yeah that may be crazy to think about but since Sony has no interest in doing a PSAS2 and how Sony are nowadays thanks to Jim Ryan, it would make sense to try and rebuild their fanbase by having one of their characters join Smash and while Kratos or Ratchet & Clank make the most sense no other character has the best chance from Sony to get in than Sly Cooper as Sucker Punch are the only guys at Sony to have a game on a Nintendo console with Rocket: Robot on Wheels for the N64 and while Rocket would make better sense, Sly is like the most iconic character from Sucker Punch to get in
