Him being a normal plumber would be too similar to ratchet ( ratchet and clank PlayStation series) ie Little too overly handy with a wrench for its less than intended purpose.

Oh god, imagine if there was a new mario game where you start off without your abilities, you can jump or duck down but you cannot long jump, walljump, backflip or anything unless you unlock them in order to make you powerful again.

You get a lot of expression out of those SMW sprites! I actually used to play the games like this for fun sometimes when I was a kid, limiting myself to realistic runs and only occasionally sprinting. It would be really fun to play a mod for the PC port that makes Mario have "realistic" abilities.

I'm guessing this is the only way to nerf Mario, but too hard.

I think it’s amazing people still make funny animations about the whole mario game world. Mario really became a standard in gaming and I think it also started this youtube trend. Didn’t these type of videos exist 10 years ago? I feel like I remembered a lot :#

i love this, the sprites look really legit unlike some other animators, really smooth, and yeah good video why am i reviewing the design this feels weird

Realistically speaking, if Mario was basically powerless and were that of a normal human, when fighting Bowser, he could always take the hammers Bowser is taking and throw them back at him or something, or use the hammers to hit the switch, which is what Bowser did anyways

Mario is not fully powerless, at 00:31 he just CASUALLY walks over the edge with his EYES SHUT, the fall must have been at least 5 meters. Still landing perfectly. Not a scratch. Bowser should still fear him xD

well, he built it there. not sure why he had a "kill bowser" button right there, but it is his duty to know.
