I love how this video shows the side of sibling relationships where siblings actually get along with each other. Yes, siblings in real life can be mean to each other like many videos of Mario and Luigi show, but we also get along with our siblings when we choose to do so.

You know Mario’s a good brother when he searches for Luigi in Good Egg Galaxy, ANOTHER FRICKEN GALAXY. Not only that but he also asks him sworn enemies if they’ve seen Luigi.

At this point, I'd consider Bowser and Mario more like friendly rivals if anything. If they can put aside their differences to compete in the Olympics, and compete in other spin-off titles, that doesn't really speak "villain" on the part of Bowser.

Sibling relationships are like that in real life. Sometimes the older siblings disregard their younger siblings while other times the older siblings are so protective of their younger siblings that they'll do anything they can to make their younger siblings happy and keep them safe.

I legitimately teared up a bit in those bits where Mario was searching for Luigi, you managed to say so much without any actual dialogue, that’s just powerful. Also with that, can we just take a second to acknowledge how cool these power ups are? EDIT: Finally edited “tested” to “teared”

I love this, it's more faithful to the original series as well this shows Mario caring about Luigi, which is wholesome, I also loved references such as Military Mario, Dr Luigi, the Observatory from Mario Galaxy and New Donk City, one if the best animations there

holy shit, I was expecting Level-up tier storyline, this went straight downhill, loved the twist!

Man, I can't describe how beautiful this was. Especially the music when Mario is searching for Luigi. Not the animation we asked for, but needed.

How did you manage to make an animation both so funny yet so heartfelt, and so GREATLY ANIMATED?!?!

I did not expect that to take such a dark turn. Heartwarming ending though.

It feels so nice to see them getting along for once. I feel like every animation makes Mario mean to Luigi

I'm not one to usually overpraise an animation like this because i think it's kind of annoying, but this is a good animation. The animation is high-quality, the concept is super cool, and the storytelling is excellent. With all of that said, Luigi looking like the happiest man in the world while on a tank and bloody clothes is hilarious.

I just love that, unlike many other Mario's portrayals in web animations, Mario is shown caring about his brother (and vice versa). I also love the animation (especially the hand-drawn closeup where they're hugging), the power-ups concepts, and the story itself. Keep up the good work, friend! :)

When I first watched this video the ending almost made me cry seeing Luigi bleed is so sad but I love that Mario came for him it’s so nice to see that Mario cares for his brother and doesn’t want him to get hurt poor Luigi he was in so much pain but Mario came to save the day

Siblings are still mean to each other from time to time in real life though. My younger brother and I for example haven't spoken to each other since his wedding even though I've been trying to get in touch with him since then.

I thought this was just going to be a cool sprite animation but then an entire, unexpected story with heavy emotion plays out! I applaud you for that Pixiel, great execution!

it would be amazing if these power ups were actually in the games.

I am pleasantly surprised with two things: First: Portraying Mario and Luigi as good brothers instead of the overused "Mario is a dick to his younger twin"-trope. Second: Given the video title and original set-up I thought it would be a fun little (but mostly forgettable) romp. And it was for a while. I didn't expect it to turn so drastically in tone, but it was all the better for it. You don't expect anything bad from life at the moment and then you get hit like a truck.

Accidentally tapped the thumbnail and I don't regret it. I like the new power ups and some of them are upgrades of the ones we're more familiar with. My goodness this animation have gotten dark near the end.

Glad Toad and Toadette were brought into the story in the way that they are.

I love this video it has everything story power up designs and how much Mario is caring about his brother Luigi I rate this a 10 out of 10
