I'm always happy when characters get no life sentence...it doesn't matter if they get 58,207 years in prison and 55 death sentence...it's an object show! They can probably get revived meaning death sentences are useless and they will probably eventually get through the normal sentences...it's just life sentence that you can't wait out...

i disagree with knive's ruling @ 0:33 its implied that the contestants rarely died in the first season of II and were more often than not operated on or healed from their injuries off screen. it is somewhat retconned in season 2 that they did die and were revived by mephone but a lot of jokes imply that various "deaths" werent as fatal as they may seem. as a result its too hard to actually state if paper literally died here or not.
