Back in 92 I took some good LSD. (Blue Buddha) and minus the air game, I surfed pretty much like this at La Perouse. All by myself, double overhead plus, working the backdoor from Voodoo's, higher than a giraffe's ass on a space shuttle.

@@5zimzum no, he does airs that are much more organic , artful and beautiful than many of theirs. Airs done by Gabriel and mostly by italo are more like gymnastics than surfing. They are very fast and hard. To some people that may be exciting. I find it repetitive and boring and taking the sport in a direction that leaves the flow and beauty of actual surfing with the wave behind

One thing that sets him apart for me is that he looks so damned relaxed in surf of any size. Just looks like he's having fun, even when it's massive (like the Margs comp a few years back).... as if there's absolutely no hassle if he comes off and has to battle even to stay alive.
A goofy! Now he looks like a real surfer! It's like he's reached the pinnacle of surfing. Hahahahaha!
Yeeeeeeeessssss!!!! If JJF was goofy, he'd have won 10 more world titles by now. In fact, all the good right hand breaks should consider switching to lefts, the world would be a better place, and there would be no more wars or hunger.

I think surfing should be done switch sometimes and scored higher like skating and snowboarding.
