I love this video idea! We had a fire last year and rebuilding my makeup collection is daunting!! It's nice I get to experience new items but also sucks because I miss what I had, I constantly find myself looking for items I forget I no longer own lol The rare beauty blush was one of the first items I repurchased for everyday wear!

I understand you in a way that no one should have to understand. A house fire is so absolutely violating, on so many large and small levels. I was so very lucky that when my hone burnt down, I had just moved a ton of stuff into a storage unit as I was moving in 3 weeks but my new place wasn't going to be ready for 6 weeks. I was unlucky in the fact thst it was mainly large furniture and items I didn't use often or need that season. I too lost my entire makeup collection minus a few items in my purse. Even lost my tooth brush. How are you doing now? The first item I bought was physician's FORMULA CC cream.

@@funsizedi88 It's really intimidating breaking everything down to basic necessities overnight. We're doing well! Our contractor quoted us two more months of rebuilding and we should be back home! I miss my collection because it was a hobby for me so it felt like part of myself was stripped away. I loved the CC cream by physicians formula!

This actually happened to me in November! I was supposed to stay at my mums and my night bag got nicked with all my makeup and skincare in from my car! Had to repurchase everything and start from scratch but meant I got rid of products I hated too! And thankfully the insurance people were fab🤣😩

I would love to see a Top 5 or Top 10 of your favourites for each section. You could do a split between cream/liquid and powder or drugstore and high end, but don't have to. I've been trying to find more affordable liquid highlighters f.e so it would be great to have tips. But just in general I love your recommendations and videos like that. Also retrying old favourites that have been out of your memory for a while due to the constant new stuff coming in. Do you still love them, will you use them again, or not.

I love the Revolution Super Dewy setting spray, gives my makeup a really nice melted together glow while helping it last really long. Only issue is it’s heavily fragranced, smells very fruity!

Because of you soph I use this bb cream, it’s amazing! I use ren skincare and then I use the Embryolisse as a primer and I use the L’Oréal bb and then fit me powder, I do wish I could get the loose fit me powder but never mind! I struggle to find a good foundation! I struggle with dry skin mostly but also blemishes and fine lines! So I just love this so much but I have to apply less product around eyes and forehead as my fine lines are shit in those areas! X

Love your picks. I agree with your pick for l'oreal infallible fresh wear. It's so good. Powder, I really like the nude by nature translucent powder in the shade natural. Primer I would say NYX marshmallow primer but the new L'oreal prime lab smoothing primer has worked its way into my favourites. It's legit an IRL filter.

Hey Soph, this is crazy, my parents home burnt down a four years ago and I lost pretty much everything. I literally ran back in to get my dissertation! I hope no one has to go through that ever, genuinely the worst thing to deal with. However, Since then I have been slowly getting my makeup collection together It’s hard when everything is so expensive! Even a fiver for lip liner, i think instead of buying that I should be using it to renovate my parents house… it’s still not done! The cost of grocery shopping, rent, renovating… it’s a hard situation. But on a really positive note, I really love this video, it’s given me some good products that maybe one day I can purchase! Thanks!

I need to get that powder!

I got the Rare Beauty soft pinch in Encourage, and wasn’t a huge at first. I think I definitely applied too much, used a sponge, and hated it! Then after a while I was going through products and decided to give that one a try again.. I smudged it on the back of my hand first & then dabbed the brush on that before applying it to my face, and this method has made me fall in love!! I am also 26 and have terrible wrinkles around my under eye area / smile lines bad on the side of my cheeks, and this blush does NOT SETTLE in my lines OMG! That’s my fav reason.. I want to get more colors but know they will last soooo long so can’t convince myself lol! You also put me onto the L’Oréal BB cream, so thank you!! 😆
