I mean it's a wider issue then just drag queen story hour, porn and not just soft porn in magazines is widely and easily available on the Internet, I saw a stat that said most kids have seen porn by 12. Then there is pop stars, the fact that people like cardi b allows kids to her consorts where her shows are very very sexual and her songs are very sexual is also disturbing. Its become almost impossible to keep kids away from all that at a young age.

It’s not just unacceptable it’s disgusting for children to be seeing adults in thongs etc. totally unacceptable, I’m extremely worried where this country is going.

I'd happily go to a drag night, I would find it great fun. But I am a 40 year old man. But if we are on about equality, the moment I take some random 5 year olds to a female strip club I would likely (and rightly) be arrested, put on a sex crime register and possibly put in prison. @@Voicist if we really are going to entertain that supposed logic, would you describe an infertile heterosexual couple as recruiting? Is fecundity the only metric by which to understand and assess romantic/sexual relationships? Furthermore, if homosexuality is a group made up of members who have all been recruited, has no straight couple ever had a gay offspring? Are Elton John's parents secretly gay? If you had a gay child, I'd therefore presume you would be gay, is that fair? Is your own heterosexuality solely determined by your child's sexuality? It is a SAFEGUARDING ISSUE for children.

I'm not a Christian, but I truly rate Calvin for his honesty and transparency. Children's innocence is being compromised far too much! Safeguarding is an issue; if parents exposed their children to similar content at home, it would be considered sexual abuse! Why can't they just be children? That time of their lives is so short! Just let them be.

All Christians and Christlike individuals need to be as brave as Calvin.

Those people can't really be practising the Word of God (as you claim) & abusing people - it's a juxtaposition because the Bible doesn't teach that this is ok. Now, I understand what you're saying, any kind of abuse is terrible, but I'll also admit that comments like yours are incredibly frustrating... do you hold Islamic t*rrorism against every single Muslim you come across? If you're in the UK do you hold the centuries of atrocities conducted by the royal family & British government against them? Should you renounce your citizenship over it? All the good that Jesus and Christ-followers (true Christians) have contributed to society and you'll always pick at SOME people's faults. Even with all that good, the Bible says "everyone falls short of the glory of God" - sometimes we fail, we're not perfect, only Jesus is. Abuse in church is disgusting & those people are not reflective of who God is and what the Bible teaches. No true Christian excuses or co-signs it - none of us! Above all, it grieves God, He isn't ok with it - He will avenge it and there are consequences. I pray those people confess & seek forgiveness and I especially pray for healing for the victims. No one is perfect, even Christians (it's kind of the point - that's why we need Jesus!). If you personally know of situations of abuse - go report it instead of being rude & presumptuous in the comments section. Also, there are far more healthy relationships amongst Christians than there is abuse. You can't tar everyone with the same brush. If you acted the way you are in this case with everything else... would you still trust the Police, knowing some are corrupt? Should we label all men as r*pists? Shall we assume all married people end up cheating and therefore marriage is a farce? Come on... seeing the bigger picture, understanding the situation in FULL, knowing how forgiveness works and having faith will take you much farther than finger pointing and disgruntlement. I in no way want to belittle these issues because abuse is wrong, it should be taken seriously and resolved. I wish these things were not happening in church or anywhere else. Like I said - God help us because He is the only one who can - Jesus came to show us the right path and died the death we should have died so can be forgiven and made right with God.
