If Gus Fring Was Charged For His Crimes
If Gustavo "Gus" Fring Was Charged For His Crimes In Better Call Saul & Breaking Bad
Gustavo Fring is the main antagonist of the Breaking Bad franchise, a Chilean-American restaurant entrepreneur and a major narcotics distributor. From Better Call Saul to Breaking Bad we see him becoming increasingly ruthless and more independent from the Cartel he was working for while always one step ahead of the DEA. Had Gus Fring not been outsmarted by Walter White and survived the explosion these are the criminal charges he would have faced.
Our exploration extends beyond fiction as we draw parallels to real-world scenarios. We examine cases of real-life criminals and their prosecutions, drawing on legal expertise to examine the likelihood of Gus Fring's criminal activities leading to actual charges.
Breaking Bad is an American crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan for AMC. Set and filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Better Call Saul is an American legal crime drama television series created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould for AMC. Part of the Breaking Bad franchise, it is a spin-off from Gilligan's previous series, Breaking Bad.

You forgot a false imprisonment charge for keeping Jesse chained up in the lab briefly and forcing him to cook after kidnapping him. Also, the solicitation to commit murder charges could all be upgraded to first-degree murder charges in the cases where the victim actually died. That’s why e.g. Charles Manson was able to be convicted of murder even though he never personally murdered anyone, because the killings were done on his orders.

There is also Lalo requesting help as you can hardly hear it before he laughs but Gus doesn't who caused that to happen, so he has to do so as he is no longer a problem.
I'm no lawman or anything of the sort, but shouldn't there be an extra criminal charge to Nacho's death alongside the first-degree murder, or change the original charge to assisted suicide? Same with Hank. Despite the solicitation from Gus to the twins to kill Hank, having failed to succeed, isn't that attempted murder or assassination, especially in public (or was it private property at DEA's garage)? What about the coercion to killing Walther's entire family? Is that the only criminal charge, or there is one specific in regards to threats of violence or murder?
@danielganong2557
9 ай бұрын
technically gus wouldn't be charged for what happened to hank , as if you remember the episode its from you can recall that gus didn't want anything done to hank because it would screw up what he had going with walter . however , gus also did not have the means to upset the cartel at the same time . therefore , he agrees on the hit (because he essentially HAD to) and then calls hank to warn him , making it so that hank would survive and walter wouldn't halt his cook because he died . he also disguises his voice and uses a burner phone (as per usual) to keep both the cops and walter from finding out that he knew exactly what was going to go down . i think the most he could be charged for in that situation was being a 'willing bystander' or 'accessory to attempted murder' which i think both would be a lesser charge than flat out 'solicitation of murder'

True. How much do you think Gus's sentence would've increased?
I would argue that the killing of Victor, cutting his throat with the box cutter is second degree murder, not first degree murder. A crime of passion in the moment due to lack of respect and not pre-planned. Gus might’ve planned it for a while but hard to prove, the witnesses will claim it was a spur of the moment murder.
not even a minute in, he has 73+ years in prison already 😂💀

He also presumably ordered the murder of Combo and the kid that shot him

Sentence: Seven double shifts back to back at Pollos Hermanos with no bathroom break.
This is not including war crimes he did as Pinochet’s general in Chile. That would add at least 5 more life times or death sentences.
He could also be charged for running a criminal enterprise or racketeering.
Could you do one for Franklin from Snowfall and Ghost from Power?
2:42 your honour, Gus is from the uk and is talking about pound sterling, he was merely telling walt how much it would cost to rent his cooking establishment.

@@kingalastor936 Because in our penalty system resocialization is paramount in contrast to retribution. Additionally a sentence of life would be against our constitution according to Article 1 Section 1: Human dignity is inviolable.
