It had quests for ppl lvl 30 and went all the way up to lvl 60, the max. It was a warzone. You would see the craziest things there. Was like Vietnam, you never knew what was coming.

I agree, I remember when all my PKMN were close to death while playing Red (I was finally playing the game without any cheats and my PKMN were mostly poisoned and other circumstances), and I tried to flee a battle with a wild PKMN and I couldn’t. I won it, but I ended up blacking out after the battle since my PKMN died by poison.
