When they start their rage they get an empowered strike type deal but it depends on the weather Then at 14th level each weather effect gets mildly powered up and when they rage they get to *choose* the weather I like the idea of a Goliath weatherman barbarian who summons a lightning storm whenever he is enraged. Show a little bit of storm giant heritage

High Wisdom average or lower Int. He clearly has the highest Wisdom of the party. Because he knows how how bad this is screwing up the continent meanwhile his party doesn't seem to care at all. Lmao

Yeah but who's gonna cast the giant anti magic field? A magic user? Nah, they'd be whiny about being forced to cancel out their favorite toys. Easier to just kill everyone.

Cleric: ... Are you sure it's a good idea to make the barbarian think the world is ending? I mean... he'll probably retaliate. Illusionist Wizard casting the weather-screen: This is for the 1d10 hurt feelings you jackass... Cleric: *sigh* I'll go prep "Raise Dead."

I like how the forest temperature keeps raising to ludicrous heights because of the fire, but even though the volcano is errupting, the temperature always stays at a *_NICE_* 69゜

This is what happens when the DM decides to ban counterspell. Also, just wait until he discovers that there is a "Control weather" spell

Absolutely amazing and makes a very fair point. Weathermen be useless in dnd as practically any spellcaster can alter the weather and make the most disastrous situations within moments

One major use: "Well, this weather wasn't predicted. So now we know there's a wizard that needs lynching, somewhere." Pathfinder has a few abilities for perfectly-accurate weather predictions that create situations of "Well, this was outside of predictions, therefore, it's magic." Which can be pretty useful information to know.

Can we get a full DND News Team. I could imagine the bard and Paladin as the co-anchors, fighter or monk as the sports reporter, Wizard being a correspondent (and subsequently dying after flubbing his lines.)

Ohh this one was lovely! Would love to see the version where the weatherman is 100% used to this. Somewhere along the lines of: "We issue Spontaneous Tsunami warnings in the Southern Seas, as not one but two groups of adventurers have been sighted. We will update you as the situation develops."

dont ever look at pokemon from a logical, literal, realistic point of view then if you think this is _brilliant_

Tiny detail, but I love how you had that slight pause between the announcer and the weatherman because of video delay

Throwing it back isn’t the new way to take an oath. It’s a technique as old as time itself, mastered through generations of dedicated warriors trying to make the world just a little bit safer. And after writing this I think I’m going to make a paladin with the oath of throwing it back.

An elegant oath from a more civilised age

I am the DM for a group of Meteorology Majors who have been running a campaign for two years and we cal ourselves the pressure drops… WE LOVE THIS! Fantastic job!

The best advice I heard from my friend regarding DND weather is "Look up the weather in a random year for a city in an environment close to the kind your in game city is in, such as Chicago, boom, you have realistic weather for the entire campaign that no one will be able to predict."

"They're just selling them at the shops!" Why has this never seemed strange to me before???

Barbarian weatherman and weatherman from the Pokemon universe could share a few war stories on that front... Wait, are spellcasters Pokemon?!

Time to invent that orb that captures spellcasters you can choose later for fights with extra spellslots...Then again, that sounds like a real D&D magic item with captured souls or genies or even demons casting spells for you.

I cannot tell you how unspeakably happy it made me when the fire started and I was sitting there like "Oh it would be hilarious if the temp goes up with the fire." And that's exactly what you did. Thank you so much for the good laugh.

"And a Hellhole just opened up in the city" Whelp. Alright guys, we got another Worldwound, Time to go Crusading again!

Now do a police chase, "the police have moved there full 60 feet this turn and are only 5 feet away" "oh but the criminals have travel 30 feet away and have decided to hide in plan sight" "the police have lost track of the criminals"

The real-time weather updates make it better.

Okay, but to the wizard's credit, the average temperature of the region was 21 degrees. It's reasonable enough to assume a fireball isn't gonna start a forest fire if it's cold enough to snow.

Meanwhile at home: *Druid casts Druidcraft to tell the weather* ugh, weatherman is wrong _again_

If the weather news had that live feed then I'd trust it more.

The range on it is ridiculously short.

"Seems like the tsunami is here to stay!" Well, that's one of the most hilariously terrifying sentences I've ever heard.

The first D&D campaign that I got to play had a npc who wanted to be a weatherman and was trying to invent it. The guild had a habit of waking up because of him to just beat him up to get him to stop so they could sleep. One player joined in and one time was able to be first to get him. The player had fallen asleep in the forge on the first floor while all the sleeping quarters were on the second floor. I have no idea how the npc lived now that i think about it but my friend painted such a hilarious scene that it seemed like out of a cartoon.

“I am about as USELESS as a Warlock!” And then right on cue hell opens up.

See, this is why my Sorcerer/Artificer only uses an Iron Man suit to cast his spells. Much safer when you can have a animated object fly or walk you away from the danger you create by just existing.
