the only respectable thing Micah has done was not finish off high honor arthur. Micah kills you in low honor because he thinks you are no better of a person than him and that Arthur just wanted revenge on Micah, so he gets the satisfaction of killing him. This is of course supported with the “YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN ME”. However, being good shows that he put others and his own morals above himself.. Thus Micah decides killing Arthur is pointless because he Arthur doesn’t really care and killing him wouldn’t do anything, so he leaves knowing he was defeated, and you can tell how he’s frustrated in that ending compared to his joy in the dishonorable ending. This is one of the rare Micah W's because lets be honest, low honor Arthur is on par or even worse than Micah

@@themadtitan7603 Dude it's incredible how many people will say they have 900+ hours in the game and still not read into all the plot. I get that it's a 60 hour story and it's hard to focus that whole time, but the game lays everything out in front of you. Arthur is supposed to be a good man, the player has the free will to deny that. But one of the VERY first things said to you by Dutch in the game is "We need to get those people fed, and warm, and I'm counting on you Arthur because you're the only one strong enough." All Arthur wanted was to help his family out, it's why he does the debt work for Strauss even though he always hated it. It kept his family alive. His journal makes it painfully obvious who he is as a person

@@RogerCharlamange It's incredible how people let their biases for a character blind them to what the story is actually presenting to the point they accuse others of misinterpreting it when they analyze the plot as it is and not what they want it to be. Arthur is not a good man in any circumstance, his journal and certain moments show he has the capacity to be one, had he been brought up by the right influence that taught him about morality. Unfortunately, it was a silver tongued sociopath who groomed him to believe in a false ideology that was an excuse to kill, rob and cheat innocents and people doing their job defending society. Arthur disliking Strauss' loan business does NOT excuse him willingly beating a sick, innocent man half to death and then bullying his son after he had just passed away. Him redeeming himself after finding out about TB is a sign of the goodness within him that needed the right motivator to come out, not that he was ALWAYS a good man.

I think a lot of Micah’s antagonism over a player who chooses the high honour play style is coming from the fact that he’s bitter about his brother Amos who cut all ties with him and decided to give up the outlaw life. He wants to believe that he’s right about life being a dog eat dog world and that his brother was just being weak, so he can’t stand it when a high honour player proves that idea wrong

Meanwhile people repeatedly gloss over how imbecilic and selfish Arthur is, even when playing as high honor. He repeatedly fucks up, as with the dynamite cord, and brushes it aside as "one of them things," while antagonizing others for their failures. He speaks up about feeling uneasy about something, and when he is convinced to go along with it and it goes wrong, he immediately starts to boast about how he thought it was a bad idea despite going along with it, himself. He was happy to leave the German family to fend for themselves without their father, until Charles told him, "no, we're going to help them." I feel like this is Micah being as close to honest as he gets. He's genuinely a bit confused why anyone would bother helping out someone else, and it reminds him of his brother who left the gang life behind. He's really trying to warn Arthur that altruism is pointless (as we know he actually believes).

This is the only thing I liked about Micah: he actually feels threatened by a high honor Arthur. If you act bad like him and go on murderous sprees yet claim to be better than him he justifiably gets angry which is why he offs a low honor Arthur. If you are good though deep down he knows hes a piece of trash compared to Arthur and doesnt want to face up to it.
