Hello Eli, I don't understand the meaning of would in would cost at 08:50. Could you please elaborate or clarify the difference between cost and would cost.
@EnglishProTips
10 ай бұрын
In this case, you can say either "I don't know how much this house costs" or "I don't know how much this house would cost"... Using conditionals is considered more complex grammar and would thus be regarded as a higher band response if used correctly. You can say "would" in this situation because it's an imagined situation as in you are not planning to buy that house.
Thanks for amazing video Ily
Thank you dear Eli. You are wonderful teacher and I recommend most of my friends and students who are interested in learning. I keep following your videos and I REALLY like your sharing and teaching. Respect from Myanmar.

Hello Eli and thank you for this useful video speaking lesson 👍 Can we say to invite over for dinner instead of to invite to dinner as you said in the model answer ? Another question if u don’t mind dear teacher : is it okay if the word relationship(s) used twice in the final part

@@EnglishProTips I am enjoying your meticulous English from Iran . My main hubby is to focus on etymology of English words because I can see the words in English are even close to our persian or Sanskrit . As you said we are in a close knit world with a lot of things to share 👌. You are a source of motivation for me Thanks .
You are best, love from Bangladesh
