Useful! Also, as you were being natural and answered the questions on the spot, it helped me visualise how the examiner sees us, and that silly mistakes are just a part of the speaking test in Part 2, especially (for eg, you mentioned people overheat-- I have made this kind of mistake earlier). But we can learn from this and practice more 😊 Thank you for taking us through this amazing practice session Jay!

I can't thank you guys enough for helping me achieve my required band scores and an overall of 8 in the Academic test on the 24th of October with only a couple weeks' of practice. I watched almost all your videos, and found them really helpful, especially ones like this one with a walkthrough of the test. Reading others' comments about questions they were asked in the test helped me practice, so it's only fair I return the favour. Here's what I was asked: *Part 1:* What type of house do you live in? Do you like it? What do you like about it? In the future, what house would you like? Is fishing and fishes common in your country? Where can one find fishes? Is fish consumed in your country? Do you like fish? Why do you not like it? Do you stay up late in the night often? If you stay up, what do you do? Are there any other reasons why you stay up? Did you stay up at night when you were younger? How do you feel the day after you stay up late? *Part 2:* Describe an experience where you met a friend unexpectedly *Part 3:* What do people decide when prior to meeting up? When is it important to decide clearly when and where to meet up? What kind of places can people meet up? Do people prefer meeting at quiet places or loud and noisy places? Where can people meet someone they know unexpectedly? Do people meet those who they know unexpectedly now than they did in the past? Why? Is it better to meet a friend or a relative unexpectedly? Why?

@@julianacaroline3656 Hi, all the E2 videos are definitely recommended. Apart from that, Speaking: Just be confident and just keep the answers in a conversational and free flowing style. Conversational flow of sentences is quite an overlooked aspect. Writing: Make sure you don't over shoot the word count white trying to be very elaborate with the points otherwise you might lose a lot of time editing it afterwards and might not be able to cover all the points in the question. Listening: Its difficult but try not to lose focus through the main parts of the audio as it might derail you and its difficult to get a grip and all the answers in the paragraph might be jeopardized. Speed reading the questions before the audio is played helped me. Good luck and let me know how it goes for you!!

@@kyuel09 hi, great question. That happend to me. I finished a few seconds early because I thought the time was up. So the examiner gave me a hand gesture to keep on speaking (which was very nice of her to do) Because as far as I am aware, it helps your chances if you can keep talking in a flow for the whole duration allotted to you for that question. Hope that helps and wish you good luck with the prep.

It is very possible to use PPF in all situations, just shift the monologue into first person and talk about your experiences or just imagine. For example my topic was Rain, what would you otherwise talk about rain right? So I started talking that when I was younger I hated rain because it usually meant my plans were ruined etc and now I enjoy rain very much, I actually prefer to hike in the rain because it means the trails are less busy and it gives me time to reflect on my solitude, and later I talked how I am planning to take a solo hike while carefully planning when there will be rain! You can do this with ANY topic!

Hi Jay and everyone from E2! I want to thank you so much, I got my results today (L 9, R 8.5, W 7, S 7, Overall 8) and I want you to thank you because you were so useful and helped me study to the exam, I'm so happy with these results. And for everyone who is interested, herea re the questions the evaluator gave me on the Speaking Test (she asked a lot to be honest): -Task 1: What did you like the most from the house you grew up? What do you like the most about the place you're currently living in? Do people in your city use public transport? What was the last time you used public transport? How do you think the public transport in your city could improve? Do you find it difficult to decide what to give to someone? When giving a gift to a friend, do you know what to give them? Have you ever gifted something made by yourself? -Task 2: Describe a mistake that you've learned a lesson from it. When and where did it happen? What was it? What did you learn from it? -Task 3: What are the most common mistakes a child can make in school? Should be they punished from them? Can you give me an example of a mistake that children make and how it could affect them in future? How parents should cope with frustration when their children make a mistake? Should they sugar-coat it? What are the consequences that can happen if they make a mistake in their work? How bad can it be?

Alex and Jay, you both are geniuses! 🤩♥️ I gave my exam (academic version) two weeks back and just received my scores today. LRWS - 9/9/8/7.5...with an overall of 8.5! Considering that this was my first attempt, my happiness knows no bounds. 😭🙏🏻♥️ I struggled with speaking a bit since the topics weren’t my niche, but I kept the PPF rule in mind. Regarding the other three components, I stuck to the strategies and followed the advices mentioned in your other videos. In fact, I didn’t miss even a single video 🙈... and it paid off! To all those who are yet to give the exams, just trust these two to help you reach your dream score! Absolutely brilliant in terms of content and quality. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t thank you both enough for all your help and guidance; I wouldn’t have succeeded without it. 😍 God bless you both in abundance! #ForeverGrateful.

@@mahroonnisha8439 I didn’t make notes, dear. I just stuck with what was taught in these videos by E2. Jay and Alex are the best tutors! You could also follow some of the tips and do practice questions given in www.ieltsliz.com. You’ll get an idea of how questions can be asked. So with each question, ideally, you have to think about how you’d approach the question if you were to get it for your exam and come up with main ideas like E2 teaches us. Keep practicing. Keep doing mocks and practice sessions for Reading and Listening. Do at least 3-4 of each every day and aim for a band 9. For speaking, I’d recommend you listen to podcasts (there are many IELTS based ones that you can find) everyday and get used to the language. To reiterate, practice is the only way to go about the speaking segment. Talk often to others or to the mirror, record yourself while doing so and listen to it to see if you can pick up any errors or to see where you could improve in your speech. The basic intention is repetition - do it over and over till you feel confident enough to do well on test day. Good luck! 😄♥️
