In IEEE 754 format, which bias is correct, 1s complement or 2s complement?
DISADVANTAGE - it cannot store 0 and some smaller values (underflow) region
thank you so much sir!

Sir max normalise value is 104 or (2^24-1)2^104
❤❤❤❤❤💖💖💖💖💖always great teacher......
35:00 In ieee single precision in 8 bit the number range is from -128 to +127 if we use +127 for biasing then E= 0 will be -127 and e=-128 will be of no use.38:27 if we use -128 then it Should be stored because we r taking -127 as 0 ,-126 as 1

What is the difference between the two maximum value question at the end. I understood the latter question of normalised maximum @1:01:52 but in former question @1:01:49 is it in the context of denormalized maximum value, if not then what??
@shivamgajjar3381

Sir At 20:00 how mantisa is 0 when you told us in previous lecture that mantisa can't be all zero ?
@shwetayagnik2772
2 жыл бұрын
Mantissa can not be all zeros in the case of explicit normalization as there we need first bit after point as 1.
Chalo yeto fix ho gaya clg me jo teacher samjhate vo kisi ko samjh nahi aata 🥲 COA
Ans 1. Ox3FA00000
first ans - 0 01111111 000....00(23-times)
The ans of (1.0) is 001111111000.....0
how will represent 1 in IEEE-754 as it will have E= all 0's and M=all 0's in implicit normalisation
@MChanakya
8 ай бұрын
No. Write down the formula and then think about it. Resultant value must be 1. It will have M=0s (all) but not E=0s. E - bias should be 0. So, E's resultant value should be 127 (equal to bias in 32-bit IEEE-754 representation). Therefore, E = (01111111) in binary or 127 in decimal.
Question 1:+infinity
I searched a lot for COA and ended up here. I must say that I am enjoying every bit of the lecture.
