I really love how this channel never puts an idols achievements, visuals or anything else down even now when she compared several idols with each other she talked about them in a very loving manner 🥰 I really love and appreciate this about the channel

While comparing two idols might sometimes be a bit damaging, it can also be a pretty wholesome moment too, especially when both idols acknowledge it, which is what happened with Minhyuk and Soobin. The two of them are so amazed at how similar they are to each other, and they've also kinda bonded together with each other as well. Lol I still remember Soobin mentioning how he and his mum mistook a photo of Minhyuk as a photo of himself. Even he couldn't tell themselves apart! They really are dopplegangers of themselves. The Hwang "siblings" also amaze me. They really do look like they could be siblings.

miss a's *suzy* and everglow's *sihyeon* have the biggest resemblance out of all idols in my opinion, kinda surpised that they weren't mentioned here cause that's the first example that comes to my mind haha!

Minhyuk is literally now known as Soobin's dad after people saw them together😂 I recently saw a photoshoot of him going around on tiktok and was like damn I didn't know soobin was packing abs like that only to check the comments and see it was minhyuk 😅 I liked Minhyuk from kingdom and recently got into TXT and never realized they looked alike🤣

The explanation for so many idols looking like one another to me is quite simple, and happen because of some reasons: 1- Korea is a really ethnically homogenous country 2- The beauty standards are very strict (specially for idols), so even in cases like Tzuyu and Ningning who are foreigners, they still have to meet to at least some standards 3- Major visuals like Irene, Yoona, Taeyon and others are bound to be more compared, and I even dare to say that they kinda set a standard and make it kinda trendy to look like them. The companies must love it, I don’t think it’s a total coincidence that all these articles come out talking about how idols look like these even more famous visuals.

Kep1er's Yeseo and Mashiro have had moments they looked like Nako of Iz*One.

I feel like some of them they just have similar features but the ones that really look alike are Soobin & Minhyuk , Hwang siblings, Tzuyu and Minju, Yeseo and Jungkook, J and Yoona and Irene and Eunbi [Chaehyun kind of]. Also I have no clue how they got Giselle and Rose I cannot see it.

I never really payed attention to it but a lot of the Izone members looked similar to other idols like eunbi/Irene minju/tzuyu yuri/yoojung and of course chaeyeon/chaeryeong and chaewon/Felix. I’ve even seen Sakura compared to some male idols and looked similar.

There are similarities from the different girls who are said to look like Irene, but the only one where I noticed before someone told me was Seo Jihye tho she’s older so we may also say Irene looks like her 😄

Some similarities I've noticed: Jungwon (enhyphen) and Eunha (gfriend) Choerry (loona) and Bora (sister) Jisoo (blackpink) and Gyuri (fromis_9) Woozi (seventeen) and Yoongi (BTS) Suzy and Sihyeon (Everglow) Joshua (seventeen) and Binnie (oh my girl)

Whenever I look at Yuna from brave girls I get mixed up with Irene from red velvet. From certain styles and angles they almost look like siblings too. It's also kinda crazy to think about how Irene looks young for her age and Yuna looks mature, but they're both not far off to each other's age. They're like 2 years apart.

Same same same, and there’s actually a contestant from my teenage girl who looks exactly like hyunjin but somehow she’s known for looking like jennie

am i the only one who doesn't see the similarities in a lot of these idols? the only one I somewhat agree are Han (Stray KIds) and Jun Han (Xdinary Heroes), LeeKnow (Stray Kids) and the actor Kento Yamazaki, Soobin (TXT) and Minhyuk (BTOB), Xiumin (EXO) and Moonbyul (MAMAMOO), Ni-Ki (ENHYPEN) with actor Jung Hoyeon [not too much tho], and Jungwon (ENHYPEN) with Eunha (GFRIEND) [also not very much]. The rest of the idols ppl mentioned and said they look alike, I just can't see it. maybe its because I'm a super recognizer, and I can study faces well, which leads me into seeing more differences than similarities 🤷‍♀️

Sinbi was forced to looked like Jessica so that would bring more ppl to Gfriend. So they started to do her makeup as Jessica's, and created that "aura" that she have, even plastic surgery (I do think all the members of Gfriend have very bad nose jobs except for Umji) Sinbi is super talented, and I'm proud that she could escape from that "Jessica look alike" label her company gave to her.

I just want to say that I see similarities between RAVN from ONEUS, GunWoo from T1419 and Haruto from TREASURE (not so much but there are specific pics), when I saw GunWoo I was 'wtf he looks like a mini RAVN'. Also Bae JinYoung and Park JiHoon (both ex.WANNA ONE) with Park JiHoon from TREASURE.

Same for me! When I started getting into loona it was when yyxy was promoting “love 4 eva” and Yves caught my eye for her similarity to Nayeon.

IMO Winter is the blend of Jessica and Taeyeon (who obviously were visual twins in SNSD)

In my opinion there is no idol that looks alike, they’re all very different. Yeah they may look similar in some photos but overall they look very different.

Koreans are some, or if not, the most homogenous people on the planet. It has been scientifically proven. If you have traveled to South Korea and looked at their facial features, you will notice Koreans have very similar features. When I traveled to S. Korea and was walking in Gangnam, I thought I saw the same woman 5 different times. It was actually five different people who had very similar features and they just so happened to be wearing the same clothing style that day. In my opinion, it's not necessarily that the person is more famous because they look similar to someone else, but it's because they fit the beauty standard. Irene is probably the epitome of what is the Korean beauty standard.

I think it is because Korean beauty standard is not very diverse. Everyone just ends up having similar makeups or plastic surgeries to fit in the k-beauty standard.
